The Tokina 85mm T1.5 Cinema Lens MFT Mount Feetwith an MFT mount and focus scales marked in feet provides an image circle that more than covers Super 35-sized sensors providing sharp images and even illumination from edge to edge. This 85mm focal length lens shares the same form factor, lens gear position, focus rotation, and front barrel diameter as the other Tokina Cinema Vista prime lenses. This makes on-set lens changes a fast and efficient operation. It features a maximum T-stop of 1.5, useful when shooting in low-light situations or when you want to capture that exceedingly shallow depth of field look.

The 9-bladed iris provides round, out of focus highlights for a natural-looking bokeh. The lens barrel features approximately 300° of rotation from close focus to infinity; this gives you a high degree of precision when pulling focus. The lens is designed to minimize focus breathing and features geared manual focus and iris rings. Markings on both sides of the lens barrel make it readable from either side of the camera. The lens features an MFT mount, and the front of the lens is 114mm in diameter with a built-in 1/4"-20 support foot that helps support the lens with the aid of an optional 1/4"-20 rod-mounted lens support (not included).

The 85mm T1.5 MFT mount prime lens is capable of focusing images on a sensor with full 8K-resolution and features a 46.7mm image circle, which easily covers standard-sized full-frame sensors. The MFT mount physically blocks the image circle coverage from full-frame to Super 35mm sized-sensors, but doesn't otherwise affect the optical operation of the lens.

A: Using a step-down ring could cause vignetting when using the Tokina Cinema ATX 11-20mm T2.9 Wide-Angle Zoom Lens. We recommend using 86mm filters with this lens, or a matte-box solution.

[Super35/APS-C] Lines are great! almost no warping - astonishingly aspherical— superior to the previous generation 11-16mm. Good on 4k, but low resolution image starts to show itself when wide open. T4/5.6 is the super sweet spot. Great bang for the buck. 5

[Imperial] Love how well constructed is this lenses and its performance. No chromatic aberrances in its widest at 11mm. None noticeable vignettes and vertical distortion at the sides of the image. One of my wise investments! Use it with BMPCC6KPRO. 5

[1:9.92] I just started using the Sigma FF lenses and shot in a very humid location. No internal condensation seen. These lenses have a much higher resolution as far as sharpness and critical focus goes as compared to my previous cine style lenses. Robust build to say the least. I haven't noticed any chromatic aberration at all. Looking forward to using these on feature work! 5

[112 mm] I needed something longer than my 55 but shorter than my 85 so this is just right for me. Amazing wide open but I recommend a large production monitor to stay on top of the focus, DoF this shallow is gorgeous but you can't take your eye off it for a second. 5

[9] I compared many lenses in this range, and it came down to these and the Tokina Vistas. The Tokina's had a beautiful image, but for $6k a lens, I was sure if the value was there. So I pulled the trigger on a set of these sigmas, and I couldn't be happier. It's the best value for the dollar. I've used their art photo line, but these seem to have a better resolution, they are crispier, and the bokeh falls off like butter. You won't find a better value for the price. The next level up is $6-7k, then $10k 5

[T1.5] The 11-20 ATX is a great wide angle geared cine lens, it matches close enough to the Tokina Vista Primes, which is nice for swapping for a lighter and smaller rig for gimbal shots inside cars and tight spaces. The added threaded filters are perfect for not needing to use a matte box to drop in ND’s saving more space and weight. The FIZ rings have the perfect amount of resistance and are butter smooth. Focus rotation from it’s closest point to infinity is about 300 degrees, so doing a smooth pull will be much easier with a remote focus unit. Lastly not a lot of distortion in its widest, and it’s almost non existent at 20. 5

[Imperial] Oh my, where do I start. Ive been waiting forever for a PL-mount cine lens that will give me that ultra-wide shot. Never considered Tokina a big player in this field, but they killed it with this lens, there is simply no competition, doesnt matter whats your budget. It performs great: nice color, smooth FIZ rings (though focus-ring rotation will feel like 720° if you are using your hand), no noticeable distortion and very good build quality. 5

[T22] This 85mm is a new addition to my Sigma lens set. I already use the 20, 24, 35 and 50, and they are all simply fantastic. First off, these lenses are FAST! 20mm T1.5??? Whaaat? That's madness. Next, they are all incredibly sharp wide open. No need to stop down to get a nice, crisp image. And with the sharpness, comes a beautiful creamy bokeh and great texture and colors. Add to that a (relatively) small size for a cine lens, a nice focus throw/rotation for super accurate focus, beautiful build quality and 8K ready, and you have an excellent tool for many years to come. 5
