A: I would minimum of two rows of foam on all sides of your gear (looks to be about an inch I would say). One row will detach too easily but two holds up well and will help maximize space. You definitely can't fit as much in with the foam as opposed to the Velcro padded interior, but certainly have more protection.

A: The exterior of this case, 21.6 x 13.6 x 9.3" / 54.9 x 34.5 x 23.6 cm, fits most airline size requirements. We always advise checking with your own airline before you fly.

[25 x 22 x 9.7"] I use this case for a basic lighting setup and camera. I was able to get two strobe heads, my canon 5d mark ii with a wide angle lens, 2 additional lenses, a magic clamp, light meter, extra battery, cf cards, some cords, and my battery charger in with a little room to spare. I did not expect to get so much in. For portraits I can carry this case and one for light stands. That's pretty awesome. It's a tough case, rolls really nicely, I love all the handles, and the latches work great. I really have nothing negative to say about it. It is heavy, but I'm rolling it 99% of the time. 5

[2.55 lb] This my first venture into a wheeled case and I think i made an excellent choice. So, for a beginner this made a lot of sense to carry all my equipment safely. The case material is solid and the foam inside is easy to manipulate to conform around your particular components. Looks very professional! The only thing is that it's heavy even without any equipment... but that's how solid and protected your components will be. AND, they are available in different sizes... oh and the wheels are smooth too! Go for it! 5
