Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is the locking shoe mount removable?

A: Yes, it can be unscrewed and removed from the top of the bracket.

A: Yes this model has a rugged aluminum frame and sturdy ABS box with aluminum independent flags.

Q: 3. can this be used on a canon t3?

A: Yes

Q: 4. CAN this light be used for just dslr camera shots & not videos?

A: The DV112A can be used as continuous lighting for still photo as well.

Q: 5. Does Dot Line Matte Box MB3 fit sony ax100 4k ?

A: Not unless you buy a universal base plate that has the height to elevate the camera above the lens opening. The kicker is that even cheap base plates are several hundred dollars. Hope this helps.

Q: 6. are the shoe mounts threaded/removable?

A: The Dot Line Mini-Arm with Shoe-Mount (3.5") does provide a 1/4"-20 that is used to mount the shoe mount.

Q: 7. What is the limit on the weight each arm can handle without drooping?

A: When using the Brackets Dot Line DL-0550 Flexible Macro Light Bracket each arm can handle 15 oz. without drooping.

Q: 8. How long is it?

A: The Dot Line 43mm Strap (Black) is 37 inches.

Q: 9. How useful is this for macro work? Can it be flexed forward at an angle that points the flash immediately in front of the lens?

A: The arm is completely flexible. To answer your main question, while it depends on your camera, your lens and your flash, we believe you can get the flash where you want it.

Q: 10. Will this smear the emulsion on wet 35 mm film? Also, should this squeegee be used wet or dry?

A: No. this squeegee will not smear the emulsion. However, I find it works best when there is even, consistent pressure when squeegeeing otherwise you may get streaks. I also find that the product works best dry or at least remove excess moisture between squeegees otherwise streaks may happen

[0.835 lb] Working as a production assistant and a script supervisor, the clapboard sped up my work process as opposed to using digital apps. This and other AC gear that I've bought at B&H has opened up more job opportunities and experiences within the film industry. Massive lifesaver!

["L" Type] Not much to it, a standard clapper. There are a few bolts that will let you adjust the tension of the upper part of the clapper. This is great to organize scenes, cameras, or color pick the middle grey on the clapper for white balance adjustments.

[9.2 x 6 x 1.5"] Decent and good for use. It gets the job done. The screws for the arm might require a bit tightening but work great.

[0.835 lb] Technically I believe these are intended to be used for video, but they are the speedlight/strobist's dream come true. I originally found one of these in a local camera store when I was looking at various camera accessories for what I might use with Speedlights on location. These are ideal because they require no tools to attach the Speedlight/stand, they can turn every possible way (very important for Nikon Speedlights that work wirelessly and must be line of sight with the sensor towards the camera to trigger), and these are well constructed. Highly recommend. I have 3 of them so far. The only downside is you can't use an umbrella so I also carry 2 traditional speedlight brackets with the umbrella mount. These are my go-to brackets for my location photoshoots around the country.

["L" Type] Very handy piece of gear for studio/set photography or filming. Sturdy mounts. Pretty stiff, so it can hold items of significant weight in position. Opens up a lot of positioning options and solves a lot of grip challenges. Pairs well with Impact Large Clip Clamp and
Impact Super Clamp with Ratchet Handle.

["L" Type] After struggling with the hand clap method of synching sound and video, I got the cheapest decent-quality clapboard, and it works SO much better. A much shorter, cleaner sounds, and easier to synch visual.
