  • Each bodypack transmitter uses a locking 3.5mm connection to secure its SR-M1 lavalier mic. A short press of the power button mutes the mic between takes.
  • The UWMIC9’s Auto Scan feature searches among 96 frequencies to find the cleanest available frequency for you, while the built-in infrared sync makes linking the transmitter and receiver a snap.
  • Easy-to-understand menus and controls, along with backlit LCD displays, allow you to make quick adjustments under varying lighting conditions.
  • The TX9 transmitters can accept mic or line inputs and offer three selectable levels of wireless transmission power. The highest setting is designed to overcome interference in busy RF environments or when the subject is further from the receiver; lower settings conserve battery power.
  • A headphone output on the receiver enables real-time audio monitoring, especially useful if your camera lacks a headphone output.
  • The receiver’s output can be switched between mono and stereo modes. In mono, the two mics are mixed together and recorded as an identical mono signal on both the left and right channels in your camera. In stereo, each mic is kept separate and recorded discretely to the left and right channels in your camera.
  • Power is supplied via AA batteries for up to 6 hours of battery life.
  • The system offers a maximum distance of up to 330’ and supports up to 8 mics at once on set.

  • For man-on-the-street interviews or if you need to pass the mic between several people, you can add the HU9 wireless handheld microphone.
  • Adding the TX-XLR9 plug-on transmitter allows you to connect any handheld microphone of your choice or a shotgun mic for wireless booming. You can even apply 48V phantom for condenser mics.
  • A wide selection of optional output cables (available separately) allows you to connect the receiver to smartphones and tablets via Lightning or USB Type-C ports, or the TRRS headphone output. There is also a mini-USB cable for action cameras, a USB Type-A cable for computers, and a 3.5mm to dual XLR-M cable for professional cameras.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do these work with XLR inputs on the Sony HXR-NX100?

A: Yes

Q: 2. How long is mic to transmitter cable?

A: This lavalier microphone that connects to the transmitter is 4ft long.

Q: 3. How is the echo on these microphones? I'm having an issue of shooting in a large space, and the boom mic I use picks up a lot of echo so I am trying to reduce that to get clearer audio.

A: By placing these mics on a person directly, they will pick up much more of the voice and less room noise than a shotgun in a large space.

Q: 4. Can this receiver transmit sound via the Sony Multi-interface shoe - by chance? Guessing not, but worth a try!

A: So I just bought this set, I use the Sony A7Riii. I just bought the K2M XLR adapter and I plug in the receiver into that. When I do that, it works just fine. Great buy!

Q: 5. Can anyone confirm if this system combines the two lav signals into a mono signal, or if you can output each lav to a discrete L or R channel?

A: When using one lav, if you set the receiver to mono, it will send the signal to both left and right channels. When using two lavs and set the receiver to stereo, it will send each mic to a discrete left and right channel.

Q: 6. Does anyone know what the transmitter mic wiring is? I tried using an ECM77 from my Sony wireless pack and it didn't work - so I'm assuming it's not the same. Has anyone tried a mic wired for Sennheiser? It's a great product but the included mics are huge! I ailed Saramonic but they said I'd have to try it myself to see if it would work.

A: The Rode Lav with the Micon connection works great with these for anyone looking. Price is good and they sound fantastic.

Q: 7. what is the warranty, and do they have good reliable warranty service?

A: This would come with a 1 year manufacturers warranty.

Q: 8. Are there replacement lav mics available?

A: Yes

Q: 9. anyone had any radio interference static, hisses or clicks picked up from the transmission especially when walking about in differenet environments of is the audio always generally 'clean' and free of intereference? Thank you

A: Have you changed the channels? Do a frequency scan when this happens and it will find the cleanest available channel. Then sync the transmitters to the receiver. You will need to do this for both A & B frequencies on your receiver. This should fix your problem.

Q: 10. Curious if people are actually using the included lav mics? My initials tests were quite disappointing compared with a better mic, but maybe others have better experience? It seems they need a lot of gain to get any audible signal at all.

A: You can upgrade the mics to higher quality mics if you choose. Look for locking 1/8" mics that are wired for Sennheiser. That said to upgrade to a mic that is a significant upgrade you are looking at mics that are over $200-350 each, two of those is the same price or more than this entire system.

[Auto-Scan] Heritage Trail Association a historical site needs to record presenters both in the historic house and in the field so range and quality is important. The sound pickup, range and quality of this product was exactly what was needed. This is a major improvement for us over a high quality camera mounted microphone. In addition the ability to move allows the speakers and actors to be more comfortable. I would recommend this category of product and definitely this product specifically.

[Analog UHF ] I use the Saramonic Blink 500 for work and it has not been the most reliable. It was then I found that it was on the same frequency as wifi and Bluetooth. For my personal projects, I wanted something better built and hopefully that was on a different bandwidth. I decided to give this a go. I have used it a handful of times and it has worked well. I paired it with a Nikon Z6II. The noise floor is around -50db. I usually add a compressor in post and the sound is good for my needs. I use these to make high end YouTube videos. The case is all metal. Some reviewers have complained about the batteries. I bought 2700ma rechargeable batteries. I used them for three hours and the battery indicator never moved from full. I would recommend buying high end batteries for these if you plan to shoot all day. They shouldn't give you an issue. The only tricky think I found is when you want to pair them to a new channel, you have press the button on the Tx and the Rx at the same time. I didn't understand this at first. Some have also mentioned about the belt clip falling off easily. I had quite the time getting the clip on the pack and was very stable for my talent to wear, so I don't see that being an issue. So far I'm happy with the product and I would recommend it.

[IR] I used this system for three days doing a series of back-to-back interviews without any problems. The stereo output signal was connected to a Tascam DR-60D mixer, then passed through to a Lumix S5. The results were excellent. The transmitters and the receiver connected immediately. Clear, steady signals without any static or dropouts. Signal strength and volume control was excellent. Surprising good range too. Solid metal construction, which is good because I dropped the receiver onto a concrete floor with no harm done. Long battery life on the transmitters, several hours of continuous use on the receiver. Very satisfied.

[Auto-Scan] We have used these mics for several streaming videos with great results. Easy to setup out of the box, and plugs right into my ATEM Mini switcher as well as any other device with the included 3.5 mm and XLR cables.

Excellent sound quality for both male and female voices. I have tested mine up to a range of about 75 feet, through multiple walls inside an office building with no signal drops.

[10 / 20 / 30 mW] I was using 2 RODE Filmmaker wireless mics previously. I love RODE and loved these mics but the problem I kept having was the lavaliers kept going bad. RODE is awesome at fixing but it takes time to return your units and get them back. So I bouth these as a backup for the next time I had to send my RODE mics in to repair. WOW, I could not believe how good they sound, the quality of construction, and ease of use. I shoot with a Panasonic GH5 and there was no problems at all. I now use these as my primary mics and my RODE Filmaker kit as a backup.
