A: The AJA HDMI to SD/HD-SDI Video and Audio Converter B&H # AJHA5Q MFR # HA5 will not pass HDMI video with HDCP copy protection.

A: Hi Casey,I bought this hoping that it would output 1080i so that I could convert the 1080p from my GoPro 4 for the ATEM studio. I returned it because I could not get it to do so, it passed through the 1080p and the GoPro was again not recognized by the ATEM studio.

Q: 4. Does this unit output SDI level A? Having issue converting HDMI to SDI on Atomos for switching. Only type A supported. Blackmagic converter did not work.

Q: 5. Does this work with the Serv 4K? It's not listed but I assume it does.

A: The Node II LTE/4G/3G Multi-Mode Modem Module from Teradek is designed specifically to interface with the Teradek VidiU Go. The Teradek SERV 4K is not listed.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the Analog Way Ascender?

A: I have no idea! i don't manufacture either and i only have the black magic line of gear

Q: 7. Will this work for the Aja Fido TR?

Q: 8. Hi all, can this converter convert from HD to SD?

A: The answer is no it can't, it only converts the format that you plug into it

Q: 9. Will this convert a 4k signal out of a Sony A7S II to work on a 1080p production monitor?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks UACC-OM-MM-10G-D 10G SFP+ Multi-Mode Optical Module (2-Pack) should be compatible with any switch as long as it supports SFP+ modules.

[0.05 lb] I have purchased 1 set of these to replace coax SDI lines we needed to remove in favor of fiber. So far my initial tests are good. We are just using it for HD-SDI, but If they continue to work, I will purchase another set and this will give us 6 transmit and 6 receive signals on each end of our link using 4 strands of single mode fiber. They are virtually silent except a small fan on the side and use locking screw on power cables which is nice to prevent loss of power from a connector getting pulled out. Also they are VERY small and compact. We will use heavy duty Velcro to hold them on a rack shelf long term. You can't beat that capacity for the price. 5

[0.05 lb] I purchased this product to record HD news coverage of events pertaining to my work so I could include the coverage in various video programs. I connected the converter to a cable box and and a DVCPro-HD deck. It works beautifully! Both video and audio are indistinguishable from the original signal coming from the cable box. 5

[0.05 lb] Really, there's not much you can say other than I plugged each into an SFP port and they work absolutely perfectly. These are especially useful in a situation like mine where one end is a media converter and the other is a Ubiquiti router with an SFP port (EdgeRouter 4.) It works as you would expect with no discernible speed penalty compared to just a straight Gigabit Ethernet cable. I installed mine to provide galvanic isolation between my cable modem and my home network so I need not worry about lightning strikes on my coaxial cable. Highly recommended and you cannot beat the price. 5

[0.05 lb] This converter did everything we hoped it would do. It takes HDMI video/audio, that is not DHCP protected, and converts it to HDSDI with embedded audio. The installation is a breeze and the unit can be installed and operational in less than 30 minutes. Remember - your source material cannot be HDCP protected! 5
