Made in the USA, the hand-painted backdrop is mounted to a heavy-duty aluminum 2" core that's compatible with varipole systems. Mount the backdrop to a crossbar or light stand and steam from the backside to eliminate wrinkles. Light cleaning may be performed with a dry cloth.

[Spot Clean] I ordered two of these backdrops for a photo assignment and could not be happier with the quality and performance of the product. I did read a few reviews that commented that the backdrop did not have 'texture' and I will admit that when I first unrolled the backdrop and viewed it, I did not see much texture at all - it appeared to be largely grey with no other highlights. But once I lit it up with my studio lights, all of the texture came out and made for a great backdrop to photograph portraits! I am extremely pleased with the product and would highly recommend it. 5

[Mottled Gray] This is a beautiful high-quality backdrop. Yes, out of the tube it looks very dark but it requires background lighting. Good starting point for me was matching subject light and background light equally using a flashmeter (you got one of those, right?) I also shoot with a longer lens to blur it out a bit. Once lit properly you’ll see a palette of beautiful subtle shade variations 5

[1] I've been wanting to do work with painted canvas for a long time, and finally pulled the trigger on a Savage, because I've heard great things. This eclipse color is quite dark, so if you want more texture to show in photos, either light the canvas or go with the other grat (I think it's called Ash?). Wonderful though, and I am very happy with it. I plan to by Desert Sand next I think. 5

[Crossbar] Canvas looks great and packaging is on point so nothing gets damaged. There are one or two imperfections that should not be on canvas even though it's hand painted but nothing that can't be easily fixed or in 99% no one would ever notice. I would still recommend it without a doubt. 5

[Spot Clean] Great canvas, and the texture is not overdone which is one of the hardest things to find without paying major bucks. I will buy more as more color options become available. -Excellent customer service as well. 5
