The white Countryman B6 Lavalier for Zoom Recorders, L/R Audio, Whiteis a miniature lavalier microphone measuring only 0.1" in diameter. It features a 3.5mm locking connector and connects to select Zoom recorders with audio on the left and right channels. The B6 microphone provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 120 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable combined with the ultra-thin diaphragm ensure low handling noise. And the tiny size combined with natural sound pickup make the microphone easy to position, for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

The included changeable protective caps (+0, +4, and +8 dB) provide moisture resistance, allowing you to adjust the frequency response to suit different applications or to match other microphones. Each of the three omni caps has a different high-frequency response characteristic that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This microphone ships with the attached +4 dB protective cap that boosts the perceived amount of presence in your sound, while leaving the lower frequencies unchanged. You can switch to the 0 dB cap in case of problems with high-frequency feedback.

With low-handling noise and a rugged construction, the B6 microphone is a suitable choice for theater, broadcast, places of worship, and general lavalier applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit the zoom f6? Looking for a solid bag to hold that as well as the deity connect.

A: The zoom F6 and your Deity Connnect wirelss microphone system will fit this bag with room to spare.

Q: 2. It is a internally a 48V powered microphone?

A: The SGH-6 is powered by the Zoom recorder, but it is not 48V.

Q: 3. The ssh model is described as having an hyper-cardioid polar pattern and the sgh a super-cardioid polar pattern. Is there a functional difference?

A: The main difference between the two models is that the SGH-6 uses three internal mic capsules and has a supercardioid polar pattern for a tight, focused response and dual-mono output. The SSH-6 is a stereo mid-side shotgun microphone with two internal mic capsules which each pickup sound from a different direction in order to create a wider stereo image with more ambience than a mic that picks up sound from one direction. One capsule from the SSH-6 is extremely focused on picking up sound on center and can be combined with its bidirectional capsule which is able to pickup sound from the left or right side to create a spacious stereo image that can be mono-compatible. For example, you can record dialogue with the center microphone and then mix in the desired amount of ambient sound captured by the side microphone. Both models are very good for picking up dialog. The SGH-6 is for one direction and SSH-6 is also capable of stereo imaging.

Q: 4. Will this work with the Zoom F1 field recorder?

A: Yes, I did a test and they are compatible.

Q: 5. Would you recommend Orca 28 or 30 for Sound Devices Mix Pre-3 + accessories?

A: Yes.

Q: 6. Considering a shotgun mic for my H6. Would there be any reason to own both the SSH and SGH versions? Is the SSH just an SGH with stereo side recording capabilities?

A: Both the SSH-6 and SGH-6 are shotgun microphones, capable of capturing audio at farther distances than a traditional handheld microphone. The benefit of the SSH-6 is that it captures audio in stereo; a benefit mostly used in music and ambient sound recording. If you are just recording dialogue, the SGH-6 would be more than adequate.

Q: 7. i recently bought a F8n and intend to buy this bag. But, I'm wondering. With the zoom recorder, how many wireless receivers can it fit?

A: This recorder has eight inputs, you can use all of them for wireless mics if you would like,

Q: 8. Does someone who have this, think it does or would work well if put on a boom pole with the h5 to record dialogue inside?

A: Works GREAT outside, inside I have found the sound to be strangely distorted. Would not recommend for indoor dialog.

Q: 9. Does this also come with the Orca padded shoulder strap?

A: Yes it does come with the shoulder strap.

Q: 10. Will the space designed for the XYH-6 X/Y capsule be able to fit Zoom's new XAH-8 X/Y-AB capsule instead?

A: Yes, the new XAH-8 has the same basic profile as the XYH-6 and will fit in the cut-out space intended for the X/Y mic inside the SKB case.
