The NiSi 67mm PRO UV Filter for Camera Lens Protectionis a general use, clear filter designed to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. Aside from the reduction of unwanted blue casts, no additional coloration or contrast is created, and adjustments to exposure are not required while using this filter, which maximizes light transmission to help eliminate the appearance of internal ghosting or reflections. Additionally, one layer of NiSi Optical Nano Coating is applied to each of this filter's surfaces to create an improved beading effect when in contact with water for greater cleaning efficiency.

NiSi PRO UV filters are constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity. This filter features a brass filter ring to enhance durability and jamming prevention.

This UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Such filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your front lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can i stack a NISI ND Filter to this polarizer?

A: No problem!

Q: 2. Is the filter ring made of brass or aluminum?

A: The ZEISS UV and POL filter housings are made from aluminum.

Q: 3. If I got this for film photography, how many stops of light would I have to compensate for a film like hp5 or fp4?

A: The Kolari Vision UV Bandpass Lens Filter does not specify a filter factor since the factor varies based on the amount of UV light.

Q: 4. Hello, What is the thickness of the filter?

A: The filter is 7mm thick, 2mm of that is thread

Q: 5. Will this lens work with a Canon 16-35 mm Ultra Wide Angle Zoom Lens & will I still be able to attached my lens hood over it ?

A: I am Nikonian, but since B&H asked me to, here my Input anyway: If your 16-35mm lens has 82mm diameter for filters, so it will work. Consult your lens manual. I cannot answer your second question as I do not know the zoom.

Q: 6. Are the metal rings made of brass or aluminium? Product overview sections mentioned as brass and aluminium in specifications.

A: The NiSi Pro Circular Polarizer Filter has brass filter rings. Not aluminum.

A: Tested it out, and none that we can see.

A: The frame is 6.2mm. But once threaded into the lens it is about 3.8mm. And the light loss is just under a stop.. It is not a range.

Q: 9. how do i attach a lens filter to my lens?

A: NiSi 49mm PRO Protection Filter is a screw in filter so you screw this filter into the lens using the front filter thread of the lens.

Q: 10. is this filter necessary for nighttime videography? And is it worth buying this filter for video or you can do all of the color adjustments in post where you could remove the light pollution and grade to a natural night color?

A: If are shooting on locations at night with light pollution it is best to use a filter like the NiSi 67mm Natural Night Filter. editing in post will not be as good.

[Brass] I regularly use a white light telescope with a solar wedge to filter the light to acceptable levels for viewing and photography. The filter does a nice job of reducing the light to a level that I can work with.

[Brass] Bought this filter to use on a 400mm lens with a 95mm filter size. Bought it mainly for the eclipse but have found it useful for four minute exposures. There is no color cast.

[0.2 lb] I bought this NiSi 77mm PRO Protection Filter based on the review by Nasim Mansurov (of Photography Life website) instead of purchasing the Nikon 77mm NC filter because of some reviewers stating that the Nikon glass separates from the filter ring and there is no warranty by Nikon on lens filters. Using the Nikon Z9 Mirrorless Camera with FTZ II Adapter and the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens with the NiSi 77mm PRO Protection Filter, the Z9 capture images with great clarity and also provide protection to my Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 Lens. Attached are the images I took on the 2 red cars of my neighbour to show the optical performance of this Nisi Protection filter. I would buy more of this protective filter for my other Nikon lenses.

[67 mm] I'm a beach photography, the biggest reason I use this uv filter is to protect the ocean spray on my lenses, salt water would definitely destroy any coating in the long run, so having a uv filter added the extra life to my lenses. And this uv is clear as if nothing is attaching to my lenses.
Great nisi 95mm pro uv filter!

[Brass] Bought for the total eclipse but I’ve already used it for testing with the sun. My expectations were met. Very nice picture of the sun and the dark spots. (I used a 800mm lens).
