The SnapCrane is a compact, modular crane design. It offers various configurations for specific applications.

This configuration allows the user to set-up in all four configurations.

Utilizing specialty heavy-gauge tubing for the single-section legs and a solid baseplate machined from a block over 2.5" thick, the TC-100 is built to extreme standards of rigidity and durability. The stainless-steel leveling feet offer up to 3" of adjustment, while the padded carrying case makes transport comfortable and safe.

Accommodating heavy or light tripods with mid level spreaders, this platform is ideal for moving large setups over flat ground. Locking wheels keep your tripod immobile during the shoot. When you are finished filming, this dolly folds down into a compact size for easy transportation to your next location.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What size tripod bowl does this fit into? Standard 100mm?

A: The VZQUICKJIB QuickJib is meant to accept flat and ball tripod heads. If ball, it should be a 100mm head.

Q: 2. What is a good track to use with this crane?

A: The dolly on this unit does not have track options. It is designed for transport.

Q: 3. Does this comes with the controller for the Tilt and Pan Control System for the operator?

A: Yes it does. This system comes with the VariZoom VZ-MC100 Pan and Tilt Control System, B&H # VAVZSC16100, which does have a control box.

Q: 4. What size tripod head works on this jib? 75mm?

A: Unfortunately, that specification is not explicitly defined by manufacturer at this time.

Q: 5. Does this come with the motorized head for the crane?

A: No, the version with the motorized head is VASC12100.

Q: 6. How long does it take to go from in the case to operational with this Jib? Does it come with/ have a recommended case?

A: This kit includes a Crane Case along with cases and bags for the various components included. As far as how long it will take to set up, there will certainly be some learning curve with the set up to start. I would imagine it will take a sometime once you first start using it and as you get more familiar with the product you'll be able to have it up in a matter of minutes down the line.

Q: 7. Does this come with the weights for the crane?

A: No it does not.

Q: 8. Do you guys buy used VariZoom16' Snap Crane complete ?

A: We suggest reaching out to our used department to see what value your unit is quoted. https://bhpho.to/3j6xxYo

Q: 9. What sort of tripod can this be mounted on? Is there a specific Varizoom product that it has to be mounted on or will it work with a general Manfrotto or Sachtler?

A: Hi I use an older manfrotto that has pins that lock the legs. Don't know the model off hand. You DO NOT want to put on any tripod with collapsible legs with legs extended. It would be a hazard. Also the tripod has a 75mm bowl that the jib base fastens to. Very sturdy once assembled. Varizoom makes a solid leg tripod/ stand for ap. $900.00 You will need a heavy duty tipod for sure. It's a lot of weight with jib, camera, hot head and counter-weights. You will be happy with this jib. Set up is very quick. I just made an extension for mine it gets powder coated in 2 weeks! Can't wait to try it. Best of luck

Q: 10. "Except for full motion control capability, the Jibstick Jr manual kit has all of the electromechanical performance of other kits." What does this mean? Does it come with the ability to pan and tilt? The line "except for full motion control" gives me the impression that pan and tilt ability are limited in some way?

A: According to VariZoom, full motion control means repeatability, being able to stop and start in the same programmed position, know where the head is, or repeat actions over and over. This kit has the same pan and tilt capability as the others, but the controller has no positional data, so it is a live manual controller only with speed and smoothing control. Also does not have built-in lens control.

[Manual] I'm not a video person and my needs are minimal - I don't tilt or pan, but instead lock down my shots. What I did want is minimal size and weight. The pans & tilts are good enough for my purposes and the K5 works well w/ the Gazelle TC7 tripod.

[360°] This is a very well made product and well thought out as well. Every part looks precision made and fits beautifully together and breaks down easily as well. Smooth and stabile (no bounce as with cheaper jibs) this is old school and will out last the life of the owner and pass to another generation and I can't say that about many products made today. Do watch the videos available and visit the manufacturers site to see sections up close. I can tell you there are some jibs if you saw them up close you would run. Even the custom case is of very high quality with a very high quality material.

[62 x 13 x 12"] I normally video amateur sports (soccer is a fast paced example). Having finished a couple games with my iFootage Komodo K5, have to say I'm very happy with my choice. I especially like the smooth horizontal panning. I was not expecting the built-in resistance while panning but after the first half of the first game, I understood the advantage of having it. Especially liked the adjustable quick mount that let me center the camera weight resulting in smoother vertical camera angle during zooming actions.

[360°] This is a very nice jib. All parts are stout and capped with aluminum fitting rather than plastic plugs as I have seen on most other jibs. Tripod and dolly are also very strong and nicely finished. The MC50 very smooth panning and tilting via a thumb joystick. The MC50 remote head will handle about 15-20 pounds but the jib itself will handle much more. No problems all good so far and I was referred by another happy Quick jib owner with a heavier Varizoom remote head.

[62 x 13 x 12"] This was purchased with a MC-100 remote head, which I would deem a neccesity given the length and reach of the jib. Out of the box, it is very smooth in all axes and feels solidly constructed. The included dolly and tripod are of similar quality, and the entire package goes together smoothly. One surprise, indicated in the directions, was that the jib isn't desinged to be built at the shorter length. As the pivot section has the requisite holes (but no end plate, as on the extension), I plan to try building it in the short configuration anyway. Our first shoot with the jib was liberating - we had it up and running quickly and were able to make use of it indoors and out. Instant production value! I had considered purchasing the more expensive jib from VariZoom, but am quite content with this one - an excellent value for the money. The supplied bags are nice but don't feel like they will stand up to a lot of abuse (one of the rubber feet has already detached).

[62 x 13 x 12"] Surprisingly well built. Came wonderfully packaged. Preforms really well for a budget friendly head. At less than 2 Lbs it makes for a very portable setup. Safety lock is a nice feature. Would definitively recommend. Use with a Sony FDR-AX700.

[Manual] Idk why people write bad reveiws about this . This is very well made and has excellent movement. I use this for a spotting scope and the preformance is outstanding and it isnt to big like my other option was in this price range . If your looking for a really nice , well built video head at this price point this is what you want . This is a quality product .

[None] Pairs flawlessly with my iFootage Cobra 3 Monopod. The fluid head works wonders for controlled pans and tilts even with heavier lenses. The plate can also be used to mount to tripods of other brands, as I've used it with my Manfrotto without problems.

[160 lb] super easy set-up and to balance. the movable weight bar is such an added bonus. allowing you to use the jib in tight spaces, and to fine-tune the balance. the need for no tools to set up is just the best. my jonyjib takes several different size wrenches and longer to set-up. I plan on getting the add on length now that I see just how fast and what a versitle jib this is. very smooth pan and tilt and love the break adjustment on it. really can't say enough. well made and very decent bag comes with it.

[One Setting] An extremely solid fluid head for small videography setups / photography. I've thrown about everything at it. Wind, rain, snow, heat, big lenses and still performs as fantastic as the day I bought it almost a year ago.

The only micro gripe I have with it is the small knobs for my long skinny fingers, but that's something I can't change.
