A: B&H # MA165 is for tripods with rounded rubber/plastic feet pads, B&H # MA165MV is for tripods with spiked feet.

[3.8 lb] I bought this because it is compatible with Sachtler 100mm ball legs, and it fits as if made for them. (Note--it will not fit my old 75mm ball Sachtler legs which have different dimensions for clamping to the feet.) It's made of plastic but seems good enough to last if not handled carelessly. It could certainly be broken at the center three way hinge if it gets twisted hard beyond its intended range of motion. This can happen if you open or close the legs in a way that is well out of symmetry, but I know to avoid this. This weak link holds the true for similar spreaders by other brands including the light spreaders for Sachtler 75mm legs. I give five stars because it works well at a fraction of the price of any Sachtler brand spreader. 5

[Yes ] I took a risk that this would work with the L505 baby legs (the documentation is lacking). Works well, and is much faster than the older style of screw down spreader. 5

[3.8 lb] I use to have the Sachtler eng cf hd sticks that these directly compete with. These are legit. Only con, which isn't actually a con to me, is the mid spreader does not have 3 level settings like Sachtler. This doesn't bother me, as I never liked to use that on the Sachtler. Acebil customer service is top notch. 5

[Yes ] I run a large rental house, and I have to say that these are probably the best and most cost effective tripod legs for a heavy duty 100mm tripod head. We got these legs originally to pair with our Sachtler V18 heads (with the idea of pairing more expensive Sachtler legs with the more expensive O'Connor 1030 heads and more expensive Sachtler V20 heads). To my surprise, everyone thought that these were the superior legs (over the $+ Sachtler legs). So now, the T2002CM's are by default paired with the O'Connor 1030 heads and Sachtler V20 heads. In short, the Acebil T2002CM legs are very high quality, have a heavy payload, are solidly built, and are somehow cheaper that more name brand legs that we found inferior. Highly, highly recommend. 5
