[Rack Case] Recommend it

[2 RU] I love this case! Some little areas that need to improve but overall best case for our use! We use this for mobile video production. We rackmount our audio interface, power supply, laptop and more. Love the double rackmount on front and back which allows you to do patch panel in back. Wish wheels were little bigger and more rollerblade style than the hard plastic kind but they roll smooth. SKB needs to build a stand on it! Or at least have a good stand accessory with a place to mount stand on case would be cool.

Get this case if you are a audio or video freelancer!

[2 RU] The handles on the inside top of the rack are very helpful. Its a high quality box that integrates the rack. I am in the process of assembling everything so the picture is not too attractive, but it seems to be a nice rack unit. It is designed so if you had multiple sets of these you could stack the rack units on top and they interlock with the feet and dimples in the top. It is way too expensive, but I guess it is unique enough to justify it I guess, but just barely. The 6RU setup is a big box. It comes complete with a bag of good rack screws. I can't wait to finish getting it filled out with my new portable rack system.

[2 RU] I hesitated getting this since it’s very expensive and it was a tough pill to swallow but here’s the upside. The rack is light weight but solid and although 13 inches deep it allows a little extra clearance beyond in the case when your racked components are placed inside. The handles on the rack structure make it easy to get in and out as you put it way. The integration of racked gear into solid travel case is well thought out and perfectly implemented. It’s a great piece to compliment what we do with pro video.

[17 lb] While this case is very heavy and expensive when compared to other racks it is the safest solution when traveling you gear.

[17 lb] worth the price increase over other racks IMO...of course this all depends on what ur putting in them...For me, I chose this because of the case and the protection ( especially shock absorption ) it provides the gear i take on the road. It isn't light though, and It isnt as deep as standard rack cases...

[17 lb] After a lot of research, I decided on this portable rack for occasional remote recording gigs where I unrack studio gear. It's lightweight yet durable, and its unique design allows the rack to lift out to put on top of a desk or table. The rack has metal rails, and rubber feet which can be stacked with multiple units. During transport, the rack is suspended with structural foam with room for sway all around. I use it with a Furman PL-Plus C on top with an Apollo x8p and some shallow patch panels. Cabling travels separately with my configuration to save case space. The wheels are nice and wide, travels over grass well. The latches are unique to me coming from Pelican, they're design is secure but easy to open quietly, and has TSA locks built into two of the front latches. The pull-out handle is tall enough for me at 6', with the button to unlatch the handle on the right it's a little awkward to push as I'm right-handed but it's not a deal-breaker.

[17 lb] After a few days, i realize that case it's amazing. Safe, secure, and solid.
I put my zoomh5 and a Tascam dr05, with batteries, cables, etc., and no problem.
