Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the receiver have 2 mics connected to it? Like 1 handheld and 1 lapel mic?

A: No. This receiver can only be used to connect to one transmitter at a time.

Q: 2. Are these rack mountable?

A: The Sennheiser XSW 1-825 is not rack mountable. Except if you use a shelf.

Q: 3. hi. the power supply is it for europe? i need it for 240v not 120v

A: The power supply is dual voltage, so it will work in Europe.

Q: 4. Will the mics also work with the g3 system?

A: Sennheiser XSW components such as those found in the Sennheiser XSW 1-825 Dual-Vocal Set with Two 825 Handheld Microphones are not compatible for use with Sennheiser's EW 100 G3/G4 series components.

Q: 5. can i use it in europe , voltage problems maybe?

A: Voltage should not be a problem since the power adapter works on 100-240 volts. However, you need to check if the operating frequency ranges are OK for your region in Europe. That by itself would be the reason to buy in Europe so that you can make sure you are operating within the local law and allowable frequency spectrum.

Q: 6. Does this output stereo or mono?

A: Hi Joselito - the output for this (and most rackmount wireless systems) is mono; if you have a special application where you'd like to transmit a stereo signal, you would need to have independent transmitters and receivers for your Left and Right Channels, or consider using an IEM System if a bodypack receiver could be used.

Q: 7. How far can you be from the receiver before the signal starts to drop out?

A: Every situation is different, so it is difficult to say what kind of distance you will get exactly before the RF signal begins to drop off. Given the output power of the transmitter is 10nW, you can expect clear reception within 40-75 feet in an open space, roughly.

Q: 8. how many feet away does it have reach?

A: The max reach with complete line of sight is 300', however when using it in a city the furthers distance recommended is between 100' to 150'.

Q: 9. Does the on/off button have a mute option?

A: The mic does have a separate mute button in the front part of the mic.

Q: 10. Hello. I want to use this transmitter with a Sennheiser XS receiver (EM-XSW1. This will be for an event in a fairly large venue (an ice rink). Will this combination have enough range? Will it cover the distance without adding static or white noise? Thanks.

A: The Sennheiser SK-XSW-A Bodypack Transmitter and EM-XSW1 Wireless Receiver can operate within a maximum range of up to approximately 200 to 250 feet line of sight. With the EM-XSW2 Wireless Receiver which has external antennas you can get a bit more distance.

[12 oz (340 g)] For hassle free, simple and reliable sound, this system is perfect.
I plug the receiver into a portable battery, and use a Bose S1Pro speaker for a 100% mobile, battery powered system.
