Dedicated to the Panasonic 100-400mm DG OIS, this black Panasonic 100-400mm DG OIS Lens Cover - Blackfrom Panasonic 100-400mm DG OIS Lens Cover - Blackprovides waterproof protection for your investment. It also safeguards against scratches and impact, while offering a thermal barrier to keep your hands warm in cold conditions. The cover is easy to install and remove, sliding on like a sleeve and leaving no residue on the lens. It has clear, flexible PVC windows over the AF and OIS controls and the distance scale. A small hole lines up with the camera's mount indicator to make quick, easy work of aligning the lens with the mount.

Another benefit of the LensCoat is that it helps break up the shape of your lens, making it less noticeable to wildlife so you're less likely to scare them off. The cover is made in the USA from 100% closed-cell neoprene. Included is an additional piece designed for use when the lens is zoomed out to 400mm. This accessory can be attached and removed quickly via the touch-fastener strip.

Q: 1. Two questions: 1. What does this combination weigh? 2. How does it compare to the Panasonic-Leica 100-400mm zoom in weight?

A: XF100-400mm lens with the 1.4X TCL combination weighs approximately 3.7 lbs.Panosonic's 100-400 lens for micro four thirds weighs approximately 2.17 lbs.The two are constructed differently and the specifications for each are listed below.a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1211984-REG/panasonic_100_400mm_g_series_lens.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1211984-REG/panasonic_100_400mm_g_series_lens.html/aa href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1224369-REG/fujifilm_xf_100_400mm_f_4_5_5_6_r.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1224369-REG/fujifilm_xf_100_400mm_f_4_5_5_6_r.html/a

Q: 2. What is the difference between Realtree Max5 and Realtree Max4?

A: I cannot find one shred of information delineating the two models of covers. If Lens Coat cannot say what the difference is, then I say buy the cheaper one since it is the same.

Q: 3. Can you use the OIS on the 100-400 MM lens and Fuji XT4 at the same time

A: Yes you can.

Q: 4. When you pick up this lens, does it make rattling noise like the 50-140 F2.8 would?

A: I don't own the 50-140, but I do own the 90. This lens makes a similar, but less pronounced clunking noise when powered off. From what I've read, it's a normal result of the focus mechanism.

Q: 5. Fujixt2 remote shutter release

A: Please clarify..asking about lens or camera operation?

Q: 6. Will this lens work on a X-E1?

A: Yes, but it is a large lens and will not be well balanced on the X-E1. You could also consider the Fuji grip, which would be somewhat helpful.

Q: 7. What are the dimensions of the lens with the hood attached?

A: 12 1/4 inches long when at 100mm and 14 1/2 inches long at 400mm. The hood is 4 3/8 inches across. It's a large lens, but not so bad considering the reach it has.

Q: 8. Does the 1.4x teleconverter work with other lenses?

A: Works with 3 lenses: XF50-140, XF100-400 and XF80 macro. Yes, it is compatible with the 80mm. I've used it myself that way and the company website confirms it. It's a very sharp TC.

Q: 9. Does the Fujifilm T2 autofocus using the 100-400 lens and the 2X teleconverter?

A: Sorry I haven't used the teleconverter yet, but the 100-400 lens is great.

Q: 10. Lenses only?

A: Don't understand the question!

[0.195 lb] I picked up a copy used, and have been LOVING this lens. I went out in freezing temps to get some wildlife shots recently, and have been happy with the results. On my X-T4 the autofocus has been pretty good, not perfect, but as good as any other camera I've used(Nikon D500, Olympus E-M1 mk ii), so I can't complain. I also find it easy to manually focus for shots when an animal is in too much brush to get an autofocus lock.

I HIGHLY recommend this lens if you like wildlife photography. The 50-140 is great, but even with the 2x teleconverter you don't get this much reach, and I found the pictures softer and the autofocus less reliable with that setup.

[0.195 lb] So, this makes no sense, but. When I bought this I was "meh", it's barely adequate sharpness wise, I was disappointed, and felt it did not live up to it's
red label status. I even called Fujifilm repair and asked if it could be a bad example, and considered sending it in for evaluation. Oh, and after that I dropped it nearly 3' off the dining table, onto an oak floor, attachedto an X-T2, it landed on the lens mount. NO damage or change in function, not even a mark.
So enter the pandemic, and I started using it during lockdown on my walks, usually at f7. Amazing images I must say. Not sure why now it is performing so well, almost as if it needed a break in period. Anyway I am very happy with it at all zoom ranges. Mounted to my X-T4 it balances perfectly, yes it is a it heavy, but I can shoot for a couple hours easily. No problem shooting birds in flighthand held at full zoom . Using single point autofocus it's nearly flawless at tracking. However on my older X-T2 it is a different story, so highly recommended to have a later generation camera with it. I have not done a comparison of resolution at different f-stops. But at my usual F7-10, I am amazed how far I can crop and have a great image. No, it is not up to my 90 F2 prime, but for a zoom it is very good. No regrets, and worth packing in my bag despite it's heft.

[0.195 lb] Typical of LensCoat, this one fits great on my son's Panasonic lens. The quality seems good, and it's comfortable in the hand.

[0.195 lb] After transitioning from Canon a few years ago, I never anticipated gravitating back toward such a substantial lens. My switch to the X-T5 was motivated by a desire for a lighter, more compact setup, and admittedly, this lens isn't that. Despite its size, this lens has truly exceeded my expectations. Its sharpness is exceptional, and AF is much quicker than what I initially anticipated based on other reviews I had read. Transitioning from Canon, I've noticed a small quirk: the zoom ring seems opposite to most other zooms I have used - t's a minor quirk though that I'll adjust to. Overall, I'm very impressed.

[0.195 lb] I purchased the Lens Coat cover for my Fuji 100-400mm lens about a month ago and I really like it. The fit is perfect and clear plastic windows allows me to see the settings on the lens. I have used it out in the cold and the neoprene cover helps keep both the lens and my hands warm. I'm a wildlife photographer and the Realtree camouflage helps disguise the lens as well.

[0.195 lb] I have had three of these over many years of use. Desert. Wet. Snow. They rival some of my Leica SL lenses in real world use.
