The SmallHD 503 UltraBright Monitor Mounting Cageincludes two metal brackets that attach to the monitor and provide mounting points for accessories. The brackets mount on the left and right sides of the monitor and provide 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for accessories. They also feature slots for attaching the optional dedicated sun hood for this monitor, which secures by magnetic mini-rods into these slots. Four screws are included for attaching the cage to the monitor.

[0.335 lb] A little pricey, but worth it to protect the initial investment in the 503 monitor. Not only protection, but also gives a ton of mounting holes for rigging flexibility. Does add a little bulkiness and width to the montior, but that's a given. 5

[0.335 lb] I think this is a must have if using the 703 as a director or AC monitor. The 703 by default does not come with a built in plate, so I was using a p-tap cable for power. This gold mount plate makes the kit way more compact and usable. Combined with a Gold/V-mount Teradek unit, makes for a compact, easy to put together kit. 5
