It is well suited for recording guitars and is designed to hang over the front of a guitar-speaker cabinet in sound reinforcement applications. The mic is built with a frequency range of 50 Hz to 14 kHz.

The front of the microphone has a flat-faced, side-address design, which places the capsules close to the sound source for optimal pickup. The opposite side features a variable cross-fade knob for blending the sounds from capsule 1 and capsule 2.
