With high-performance specs and low RFI susceptibility, the satin nickel Microtech Gefell M 930 Cardioid Condenser Mic Satin Nickelcardioid condenser microphone is especially well suited for demanding broadcast and studio recording of speech, vocals, and varied instruments. The large-diaphragm capsule and transformerless electronics, which are elastically suspended to inhibit vibration noise, allow the M 930 to produce excellent detail for low-level signals as well as distortion-free clarity at high SPLs up to 142 dB, all while yielding very low self-noise (7 dBA).

The overall frequency response is balanced and quite flat, with a slight rise from 7 to 11 kHz to exude enhanced presence and brilliance. Thanks to the cardioid polar pattern, cancellation at the rear of the mic exceeds 25 dB, helping minimize background noise and bleed from other sounds. Both compact and durable, the metal-bodied M 930 is attractive and easy to place. It includes a microphone holder and a wooden case for storage.

It is designed for professional and semi-professional users who place the highest demands on their equipment. The microphone is particularly suitable for universal use in radio and recording studios and, due to the price class, also in the demanding home recording sector.

Possible applications for the M 930 include singing, speaking positions, radio plays, and as a support microphone for recording guitars, keyboards, percussion, wind instruments, and strings.

The M 930 studio microphone combines updated large-diaphragm capsule technology with the latest semiconductor circuit technology. The condenser capsules exhibits a smooth frequency response with a slight presence boost in the 7 to 11 kHz range.

The electronic impedance converter uses a newly perfected circuit topology. This design reduces the noise floor to an extremely low level (just 7 dBA) while also raising the maximum output capability. As a result, the microphone has a clean, distortion-free sound over an extremely wide dynamic range. Also, RFI susceptibility is very low.

The polar response exhibits an exceptionally high degree of rejection for sounds impinging from the rear of the mic.

The microphone capsule and electronics are elastically suspended inside the compact metal housing. This reduces the sensitivity to mechanical impact and structure-borne noise.

Q: 1. What is the mic diameter?

A: The PreSonus M7 Cardioid Condenser Microphone has a specified diameter of 2.13 inches.

Q: 2. Is this Ring video Doorbell 3 new, unused item?

A: This are new from the manufacturer.

Q: 3. Wat type of audio jack

A: This microphone requires a standard XLR to XLR Microphone Cable: For example: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/867273-REG/kopul_m5020_quad_pro_cable_xlr_m.html

Q: 4. Is this Ring Video Doorbell 3 a new item or used?

A: This is new from the manufacturer.

Q: 5. hi does boya by mm1 work with samsung s10+?

A: Yes it does.

Q: 6. Does this mic need power? I would like to use it with a sennheiser xswd which would require me soldering a trs tip but the sennheiser does not put out power as far as I know

A: The Audio-Technica AT831cW - Mini Cardioid Condenser Mic requires an unspecific amount of power from its connection to the AT UniPak transmitter or similar.

Q: 7. What adapter or cable can I use to connect this to a regular 3 pin XLR cable? Thanks

A: This PGA98H-TQG model is wired for connection to a Shure wireless transmitter. Although there is an adapter available, for XLR connection with phantom power, it will usually not be the most cost effective option: (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/619325-REG/Voice_Technologies_VT0137_VT1126_48V_Phantom_Power.html). Instead, I would recommend purchasing the version of this mic that is already made for a hardwired XLR connection. Our part number for it is SHPGA98HXLR and I am linking it below: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1128561-REG/shure_pga98h_xlr_pga_98h_clip_on_cardioid.html

Q: 8. Can someone tell me the difference between this lav mic and the AT829cW lav mic? They are both cardioid lav mics.

A: The AT831cW has a smaller and more compact profile than the AT829cW model.

Q: 9. I need to practically swallow the 831cW for it to pick up my voice. Is there a omni-directional mic that would work better? What am I doing wrong here?

A: We have not had that issue with our mic , it was purchased as an upgrade from the mic that came with our wireless unit. It was a big improvement . It has always been clipped on tie not the lapel. Cables are very sensitive on all units we have used so don't wrap them. A lot depends on receiver position & how much power you have for system.

Q: 10. Mark's (Staff) response to the 2 questions of can it also be hardwired is not clear, and possibly is misleading. When hardwired, is the unit powered directly by the AC power source via the (optional?) transformer, or is it still being powered by the battery, and the AC power source is "only" continuously trickle-charging the battery?? IF the latter, the unit is still being powered by the battery, and the hardwiring only means the battery does not need to be removed to be recharged, but is still being used and will still eventually need to be replaced!

A: Per Ring: Power: Runs on a removable, rechargeable, Quick-Release Battery Pack (included). Can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system or transformer for continuous charging (8-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz). No halogen or garden-lighting transformers; no DC transformer/power supply. Installation Estimated Install Time ~5 minutes Operating Conditions -5°F to 120°F (-20°C to 48°C), Weather Resistant Setup Requirement: Only if wiring in: Standard doorbell system with 8-24 VAC, 40VA max,50/60Hz doorbell transformer

[Cardioid] Let me try to break this down as short as I can. I had been saving and dreaming of acquiring a u87ai for years. Recently I had clients not pleased with the colorization my mojave audio 201 fet mic was giving my vocals for narration duties. So I started thinking of buying a tlm 103 after having returned it a year ago because it was just to harsh for my voice. Although it was silky and extremely detailed, It just was to sibilant for me and sounded harsh in the higher frequencies for me. So researching I came across Gefell and how it is actually the Neumann family still in charge of Gefell while modern Neumann mics are made by senheisser. So I took a chance, and ordered the m930. Wow oh wow. It takes the best of the tlm 103 and does it even better. It's just as silky, and much more pleasing. I think of it actually closer to the u87ai but without the boxy midrange that mic is notorious for. It sits between the u87ai and tlm 103, but sits closer to the u87ai. I think my u87ai desires have been put to rest with the m930. It's so clean, clear, and silky. My voice has a lot of natural color, so the m930 works wonderful not adding any more and actually makes my voice sound much more pleasing. I wish I would've gotten this mic sooner when I first started doing voice work. It's compact, with a big open natural sound. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

[Nickel] In other words, excellent! Outstanding! I went back and forth between this mic and Neumann U87, having tried the TLM 103 in a similar price range and having been disappointed with the 103's tinny and thin response. If you're looking for a vocal mic, look no further. At half the price (or less) of a U87, you can have an authentic German large diaphragm cardioid condenser mic that is extremely quiet, with beautiful, buttery sound, and which is very forgiving and much more compact then the U87 form factor. I use this mike in a whisper room sound booth, primarily for voiceover and I can tell you the difference I am hearing, even between my trusty, industry stalwart 416: the noise floor is lower, with less detectable mouth sounds, and it feels like the dynamic range is greater than the short shotgun, with absolutely no boomy booth sound. I'm in love with this mike and I think you will be too.

[Cardioid] After doing much research I settled on buying 2 of these. I had done some previous recording with 2 SM57's, but the SM81's have a flatter sound. I have only used these to record trumpet, but they sound is great and handles the loud sound and quick response very well. I also bought a Fathead Cascade to put right at my bell, and I personally like that sound better when I'm running only one mic. The 81's are going to sound great in the hall though. I do wish that they made one box for two mics.

[Cardioid] Got while it was 40% off - great sound. Much preferred over the TLM 102/103. It's super sensitive to plosives/handling noise - so that's been a learning curve but I am very happy I made the investment.
