The cocoa Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Sennheiser Wireless Transmittersfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Sennheiser Wireless Transmittersis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to a Sennheiser Evolution Series (G2 and G3), ew 100, ew 300, ew 500, or SK 1093 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you use this receiver with multiple wireless microphones at the same time with each independent frequency? Like using a lavalier and a wireless microphone at the same time.

A: No. This receiver is a single channel so therefore only allows reception of one transmitter at a time.

Q: 2. Can you charge the transmitter or receiver while using it?

A: You can run this unit on USB power while in use. This will charger the battery during operation.

Q: 3. which frequency set is better? and what are the applications of each: A, A1, G?

A: In general, all of the frequency ranges offered for the Sennheiser EW 100 G4-ME2 Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System can be considered equal. One becomes better than the others when assessing factors such as location and other wireless systems existing and operating in the same environment. For instance, some cities have more open channels on a specific range than others. If this system is being integrated into a scenario with other wireless microphones, the existing frequency ranges of those microphones should also be taken into consideration when choosing a frequency for the Sennheiser. This system has 1,680 potential frequencies on each range and the ability to scan for the cleanest channel based on location, so it is hard to go wrong with any range.

Q: 4. Is it possible to get an additional hot shoe attachment?

A: The XSW-D hot shoe mount for the receiver is available as a separate part through Sennheiser. You can reach Sennheiser by phone at (877) 736-6434.

Q: 5. If recorder is accidentally set to Phantom power (48V) can the receiver be damaged when using minijack to XLR Adaptor (Rode VXLR for instance) ?

A: Some devices will be okay and some will not. It is hard to know fr sure. For best results make sure to check that the power is turmed off.

Q: 6. What is Wireless range in and outdoors?

A: The Sennheiser XSW system will give you about 75 to 100 feet operational distance. Line of sight.

Q: 7. What rechargeable battery pack does this take?

A: The transmitter uses the Sennheiser BA2015G2 battery pack and L2015G2 charging station. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/324393-REG/Sennheiser_BA2015G2_BA_2015G2_Rechargeable_Battery.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1367658-REG/sennheiser_k2015_charging_station_with.html

Q: 8. The default sensitivity is -30. Is it recommended to put it higher to -15 or is -30 good? I am recording educational lectures in a studio space.

A: I would recommend doing a test recording with the mic starting off with the default sensitivity setting. Experiment with the settings as well as the positioning of the mic to find the combination that works best for you. When you do the test recordings, you can say which setting you are using for the sensitivity level and where the mic is placed. Just speak and record, and that way you can easily listen back and compare the audio clips without having to remember how everything was set up.

Q: 9. How could I connect the receiver to a computer?

A: You may use the included mini cable.

Q: 10. Does this kit include the hotshoe mount adapter to mount the receiver to the hotshoe of the camera?

A: No it doesn’t. The receiver on this particular kit is with the XLR male which is meant to be plugged into an XLR source such as mixing boards or even cameras with an XLR input. Since it’s plugged into the XLR, a separate mounting isn’t needed not possible. There are various other camera kits with a mini output which do come with shoe mount adapters.
