The beige Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Sony Wireless Transmittersfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Sony Wireless Transmittersis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to a Sony WRT-8B, WRT-420, or WRT-822B wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do these clips fit a Sony ECM-SC10 lavalier microphone?

A: Unfortunately they will not. Those are made for the UWP-V1, UWP-V6, UWP-X7, UTX-B2V, UTX-B2X, ECM-V1BMP or ECM-X7BMP Sony lavs.

Q: 2. Do we need a special cable to work with the Canon T6i?thanks!

A: In order to connect the Sony ECM-44B to a DSLR camera we recommend using the Kopul LMT-100 cable. this is designed specifically for this application.

Q: 3. i can't buy two of tham, you know why?

A: We currently have plenty in stock, and there are no quantity restrictions. If you continue to have issues with our online ordering system, please give us a call at 800-606-6969 and a Phone Agent will be happy to assist.

Q: 4. Will this work with Rode FilmMaker wireless transmitters?

A: Yes it will work. It is a 1/8 locking connector wired for Sennheiser systems. Sennheiser and Rode use the same pin configuration.

Q: 5. Will it work well with a kopul adapter to plug straight into a dslr?

A: The Countryman B3 with XLR connection will require phantom power which is unable to be passed to the mic when using an adapter such as the Kopul.

Q: 6. Does this allow for rotation of the microphone capsule?

A: No it doesn't it secures it safely within the bracket, (ring of wire you see in the picture.)

Q: 7. How long is the cable?

A: The Sony ECM-77B Miniature Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic's cable is specified at a length of 1.2 meters or roughly 6.5 feet.

Q: 8. How does this compare with the 44B at half the price if I'm willing to go with a larger mike. That is, if I don't need the smaller profile, would the 44B do as well?!

A: The main difference between the ECM 77B and 44B other than physical size, would be the frequency response. The 77B extends lower than the 44B, however generally for speech and broadcast applications those would be rolled off. If size is of no importance, the ECM 44B is a fine choice and very popular in broadcast applications.

Q: 9. Can I use this mic with just an iPhone or iPad ?

A: The Sony ECM-77B Miniature Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic could be used with an iOS device such as iPhone or iPad if an interface such as the IK Multimedia iRig Pre HD Audio Interface with Mic Pre (BH #IKIRIGPREHD) was implemented in between: https://bhpho.to/3szb3Ve

Q: 10. Can I use the Countryman B3 connected to a sony uwp-d11?

A: Only if it was wired for Sony. Although the 3.5mm connector for the Sony looks like your standard jack that you see on Sennheiser systems, it is actually wired differently, and you cannot swap them for each other.
