The RRS LCF-11 Foot for Nikon 70-200mm & 500mm Lensesfrom RRS LCF-11 Foot for Nikon 70-200mm & 500mm Lensesattaches directly to the lens collar and locks into place by tightening the knob. The lens foot is made with a double dovetail design, which adds a quick release functionality to the bottom of the foot.

The replacement foot is compatible with most Arca-type clamps, and the double dovetail allows accessories to attach to the bottom or the top of the foot. By replacing the foot originally supplied, it gives the lens a lower profile and a lower center of gravity, therefore, it has a better balance when the lens is placed on a gimbal-type head.

The lens foot is CNC machined from a single block of 6061-T6 aluminum, and has a type-II black anodizing, which makes the foot resistant against scratches and corrosion. Located on the bottom of the foot are two safety stops, which prevents it from accidentally pulling the lens when the ball head clamp is partially open.

A: The Kirk Lens Foot for Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR and VRII AF-S Lenses is incompatible with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S Lens. Instead, get the Kirk LP-70 Lens Foot for Nikon Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S, Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S, and Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S Lens, BH #KILP70.

Q: 10. The RRS LCF-11 seems way over priced. I can get the, Kirk LP-64 Replacement Lens Foot for Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens for $80. Does anyone know if their is a just cause for a $40 difference?

A: I have both the RRS on my 500PF and the Kirk on my 70-200mm. Both are first rate. The RRS has the ability to use the Magpul QD strap which the Kirk does not. Is it worth the extra $40? It is to me.

[5.8 x 4 x 1.7"] Nikon's foot was waayyy too small for comfort, and the lockup is just not tight enough. This foot is MASSIVE in comparison, and the arca dovetails are wonderful. It has the travel stop screws already installed and locks right onto to the lens. Makes a wonderful carry handle as well as a perfect tripod food. Nikon needs to take a page from RRS's playbook.

Best feature is how my MagPul strap just clicks into the pre/drilled holes. Makes strap removal a breeze.

[5.8 x 4 x 1.7"] B&H didn't list it as a replacement foot for the 500mm f/5.6 so I looked on the RRS web sit and they did, so I ordered it from B&H and it fits perfectly.

[5.8 x 4 x 1.7"] Great quality as usual from Really Right Stuff. Ordered this foot along with my Nikon 500mm f/5.6E PF lens. Followed the advice of the many users that found the Nikon version of the foot unreliable.

[0.4 lb] The RRS foot was super simple to swap on and works great.

Nikon needs to male their foot ARCA compatible to begin with on these expensive lenses. It costs no more o machine a compatible foot than an incompatible one.

The only thing I would change on this is the silver knob, I’d just leave it black.

[5.8 x 4 x 1.7"] As you'd expect from RRS, it's great and exact and solid. I mostly leave it unattached in my pack. This new design from Nikon of clip-on feet is really great.

[0.4 lb] This replacement foot fits the existing Nikon lens collar of my Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8E perfectly, solidly, and securely. It is easily installed and removed. The bevel fits my ARCA-Type clamps from multiple manufacturers perfectly. The QD port is well-positioned for a camera strap or tether. This makes mounting to a support device much simpler, quicker, and safer. There is no longer a need for an adapter plate screwed into the factory foot, providing a fail point and changing the balance point of your rig. In today's world of ARCA-Type compatible mounts, I have to wonder why Nikon doesn't make their own compatible lens foot.
