Designed for dark environments or areas that are often poorly lit, the Axis Q1942-E PT Mount Outdoor Thermal Network Bullet Camerafrom Axis Q1942-E PT Mount Outdoor Thermal Network Bullet Camerafeatures an uncooled microbolometer image sensor to capture 640 x 480 resolution video (VGA) at up to 30 fps that is scalable up to 800 x 600 (SVGA). The camera has a built-in window heater to allow the 35mm fixed lens to produce clear images in even harsh weather conditions.

Axis Video Motion Detection can alert you to vandalism and provides false alarm filtering. For added versatility, this camera is compliant with ONVIF Profile S and G. Electronic image stabilization helps keep video smooth during impact or vibrations, while H.264 compression and Axis Zipstream technology optimize bandwidth usage. The camera is housed in an IP66- and NEMA-4X-rated enclosure for protection against dust, water, corrosion, and ice, making it suitable for outdoor use.

A: Complete Viewing Software: There are many ways to access the camera's features: using a web browser, with the Bosch Video Management System, with the free-of-charge Bosch Video Client or Video Security Client, with the video security mobile app, or via third-party software.

Q: 3. Can you add an external microphone to this camera?

A: No you can not do that with this camera

Q: 4. The AXIS P1290 Thermal camera does not have any Thermography functions to display temperature values. Why is that?

A: This camera does not have that feature. Axis does make cameras with that feature. Please see either B&H # AX645001 , AX01133001 , AX01135001. Most of the time, Thermal Cameras are used to detect if someone walks into an area where someone shouldn't be, not for temperature change.

[35mm] Wasn't too sure about the tech but it's impressive. Hikvision has done an excellent job with the de-warp. Truly 180 with very little distortion. Can't wait until it's available in 8k. Will purchase again! 5

[35mm] After several weeks of research for an ultra wide camera that wouldn't break the bank, I requested a quote and special ordered this one from B&H. Took a bit long to receive, 22 days from order day to DC, as it comes directly from HikVision California, and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. I'm using this camera with Blue Iris, so I won't speak about the built in motion detection, masking capabilities and other characteristics of that nature. I rely on Blue Iris for those. Several features that were must haves. Single lens with 180° horizontal field of view, it has built in lens distortion correction, which can be manually disabled. There's a bit of distortion towards the edges of the image, but this is expected. RTSP capable, outdoor, PoE, WDR, and IR. Overall 5 stars, if you're looking for an 180° outdoor cam, definitely take a look at this one. 5

[Up to 30 fps] We are a developer of command and control software and often buy various brands of IP cameras to test with our software suite. This camera was an addition late last year and we've actually deployed it on our property (mostly for testing). We cannot say enough about Axis products... this camera works as advertised and was easily integrated into our software. It is ONVIF compliant and provides crystal clear video. We are located in Florida and rarely use the defogging feature, but we would love to have self cleaning optics (a feature starting to appear on high end IP cameras) since the camera is located nearly 30 feet in the air making it difficult to clean... but that is the only thing we had in the wish it had it column. Overall a highly versatile and functional PTZ IP camera... we highly recommend this one! 5

[17°] Really impressed by AXIS and this new camera dedicated to LPR. It captures plates at high speeds and compared to other AXIS cameras this one requires no image configurations. This camera is built for LPR, day or night and for very high speed. For me, moving to this camera has improved my night time capture from 10% to 95%. Using this in conjunction with OpenALPR provides a cheap LPR solution that works excellent for us. 5

[4.555 lb] This camera is powerful and does everything I need. It is only using 4% of its zoom capabilities from 100 feet away, and sees everything day or night. It is a case of you get what you pay for and this has been worth every penny. 5
