[Aluminum] In my situation, I love it! I have medium size hands, but the grip changes the feel of the camera so much, it feels like a different camera. The grip is more secure even with smaller lenses. This grip will be attached to the camera at all times.

[0.25 lb] wanted a better hold on my camera but had no need for the vertical grip and extra weight that involved... This is such a simple, fantastic solution... little pricy... but worth it...

[Aluminum] Just the right little extra part that makes the grip a better experience, carrying a small prime like the 35mm with the a7 or the a9 its ok, but carrying a 24-70mm all day with such little body it is very uncomfortable, this grip makes all so much better.

[Aluminum] I went to the Sony system now that I am up in age and wanted a lighter system. My Sony was a just to small for my hand. This was a perfect fit at a good cost and really doesn't add significant weight.

[0.25 lb] This is a very well-made and well thought out piece of kit. While it is fairly expensive it is very nicely designed and will no doubt outlast the camera. If you just loosen it slightly it can raise off its locking pins and let you access the battery without taking it off altogether which is a great convenience. It feels solid as a rock and makes the camera a pleasure to hold and work with.

[0.25 lb] I ordered this for use with moderately sized lenses to be paired with the A7Cii. Without the grip, smaller primes are nicely balanced on the body. For most zoom lenses, however, the larger grip provides better balance and stability. I have used the grip with the Sony 20-70 mm f4; the Tamron 28-200 f2.8-5.6; and the Sigma 16-28 f2.8. I'm very pleased with the balance, feel' and build quality. The quick release for the battery is also very useful.
