This Century Precision 2X Teleconverter Lens 0HD-20TC-EX1is for the Sony PMW-EX1 and PMW-EX3 camcorders. The lens bayonets directly to the cameras lens. The 2X Teleconverter instantly shifts the focal length range in the telephoto direction without light loss. This converter lens offers partial zoom through capability.

A: This is a tele-extender that is solid and not adjustable. You cannot adjust back focus with it.

A: This adapter is only compatible with the Sony HDR-FX7 & HVR-V1U due to it having a specific bayonet connection. We are not aware of this being able to work with the VX1000.

A: Sorry, but the 0HD-20TC-EX1 cannot be mounted on the the PXW-X180 for it has a bayonet mount and the camcorder does not. We would suggest the Raynox HDP-9000EX 1.8x High Definition Telephoto Conversion Lens B&H # RAHDP9000EX. You will need this adapter step-down ring. Ewa-Marine 72-82mm Lens Step-Up Ring B&H # EWRA7282. This lens weighs 29.1 oz (825g) so a 15mm LWS (Lightweight Support System) is recommended as well as a robust tripod and video head. The zoom magnification of the Sony PXW-X180 25x zoom is demanding as is and with the Raynox it will be 1.8x more so. a strong tripod is essential for keeping the image steady. The slightest touch, wind or ground vibration will affect the image otherwise.

[2x] I have PMW-EX1&EX3,shooting concert Live. Attached Lens has excellent quality, but I need more TELE. HD quality zoom lenses are all too expensive. This is very reasonable price. Certainly under 50% of angle has Vignetting Though over 50% has no problem. 5

[Bayonet] great: Being a bayonet mount it's so easy to attach/ remove. as a surf videographer having to shoot the action from a distance then remove the teleconvertor grab the beach interview on the run then back onto the front of the cam to get the action this product is awesome. a little heavy on the front of the ex3 but this isn't really a problem 5

[2x] I use with SONY-Z7,like wery mutch quick relise,not so heawy, haw litl distortion on edges, but I like this effect,good for filming comercials and musik videos. 5

[102mm] Purchased this lens prior to a Coues deer hunt in Mexico. The effective range for an EX1 in a hunting situation is about 300yds for a normal sized whitetail to be seen effectively. Coues deer are much smaller and I was picking them up effectively out to about 500yds. MUST HAVE for those needing long range video. Cons: HEAVY! The extra weight added to your camera will affect the way you move. Make sure your head can handle the extra weight and do not walk with this lens attached! 5
