Sigma 24mm T1.5 FF High-Speed Prime Lens EF Mountcombine the same high-quality optics and mechanics of their Global Vision still line in a cine-oriented design. This 24mm Canon EF prime is a wider focal length in the series, offering full-frame sensor coverage, 6-8K resolution, and a T1.5 aperture in a compact, lightweight form; it is also available in PL and Sony E-mounts. A common 95mm front diameter and similar physical attributes across the lens line make it easier and quicker to mount lens accessories such as matte boxes, follow focuses, and lens control motors.

The 9-bladed iris produces pleasing out-of-focus bokeh effects and ghosting and flaring have been minimized. Color reproduction is standardized for easier color correction. Each lens in the range offers consistent lens gear positions and 180° of focus barrel rotation. The FF High-Speed Primes also feature a clickless iris with linear markings, dampeners on each gear ring for silent operation, industry-standard 0.8 module gear pitch, and engraved markings for durability. Focus marks are in feet with select marks in luminous paint for easy visibility in low light.

To relieve stress on your camera's lens mount, a support foot is built into the dust- and water-resistant metal lens body. If you wish to fit your FF High-Speed Prime lens to a different camera, the Canon EF and Sony E mount versions can be converted from one to the other by an authorized Sigma service center (not available for PL mounts).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. are these PL mount?

A: These are available in Canon EF, Sony E and PL mount. Order them, we will contact you to ask which lens mount you wish.

Q: 2. filter thread in specs states 'none' does this mean the lens is NOT treaded for a filter?

A: Some of these lenses in this kit will have a filter thread size and others will not. Like the 14mm & 20mm lens does not have a filter thread because the glass sticks out a bit due to it being a large wide angle lens. You will have to use a matte box and a filter with at particular lens. However, the other lens sizes like the 50mm lens will have a filter thread size of 82mm. The lenses will not all have the same filter thread size.

Q: 3. What lens mount is this set?

A: Thank you for your interest in Sigma products. This is a PL mount set.

Q: 4. What does "fully luminous" mean?

A: For the Sigma 85mm T1.5 Fully Luminous FF High-Speed Prime (EF Mount, Feet), "Fully Luminous" refers to the markers on the lens being glow in the dark so you can view them in low light.

Q: 5. Which Sigma hard case does the 65mm fit?

A: It would work with the Sigma PMC-002 Hard Case for 5x FF High Speed Prime Cine Lenses. If you own the five lens set you would need to remove one lens to fit the additional 65mm lens. Also you could use the following case to store extra lenses like the 65mm or the lens you remove from PMC-002 to fit the 65mm. Pelican 1510 Carry-On Case with Foam Set (Black) B&H # PE1510FB

Q: 6. The sigma prime are avaible immediately ?

A: This kit itself is a Special Order Product that comes from Sigma directly. However we have the 5 lenses in the kit in stock and ready to ship at the time of this posting, April 22nd 2018. Here are the B&H numbers for the 5 lenses:B&H # SI20T15FFPLB&H # SI24T15FFPLB&H # SI35T15FFPLB&H # SI50T15FFPLB&H # SI85T15FFPL

Q: 7. When shooting in the set, have you ever thought that you wish the focus of these lenses had a 300-degree rotation instead of 180? Would you mind describing the situation?

A: Large focus throws are imperative when working with significantly shallow depth of field.

Q: 8. Does the Sigma /i lenses have a port for Cooke /I or is that information only exchanged over the mount?

A: The information is communicated over the mount, electronically.

Q: 9. Why does it say the kit has an 85mm but has a 135mm in the photo and no 85?

A: The kit has an 85mm lens and the group picture is incorrect.

Q: 10. Is there a 65mm Sigma Art version with autofocus?

A: No, there is no autofocus version of the Sigma 65mm T1.5 FF High-Speed Cine Prime Lens (Canon EF Mount, Feet) in EF mount.

[T1.5] I compared many lenses in this range, and it came down to these and the Tokina Vistas. The Tokina's had a beautiful image, but for $6k a lens, I was sure if the value was there.

So I pulled the trigger on a set of these sigmas, and I couldn't be happier. It's the best value for the dollar. I've used their art photo line, but these seem to have a better resolution, they are crispier, and the bokeh falls off like butter. You won't find a better value for the price. The next level up is $6-7k, then $10k

[T16] If you're doing a prime lens, you'll be fine. The color is good and it's crisp. It has less cat's eye than a canon cn-e and Zeiss CP. A Sigma cine zoom lens is another story. The focus breathing is real!

[Full Frame] 7 beautiful, color matched, mechanically smooth, Art level lenses in cine mounts with a full range from 14-135mm. Using with PL mount on Helium Red sensor. Now in one single case for all lenses. Exceptional clarity and beautiful falloff. B&H was very helpful in making this purchase.

[Canon EF] I just started using the Sigma FF lenses and shot in a very humid location. No internal condensation seen. These lenses have a much higher resolution as far as sharpness and critical focus goes as compared to my previous cine style lenses. Robust build to say the least. I haven't noticed any chromatic aberration at all. Looking forward to using these on feature work!

[Full Frame] Pleasantly surprised by this lens. Used to own Zeiss CP.2, and have rented the CP.2 Super Speed 50mm many times, as well as the Canon CN-E lenses. In terms of sharpness, this Sigma easily beats all three of those. In some ways, this is to be expected because those are older lenses, and were designed before 4K was a ubiquitous resolution. If you're still shooting/delivering in HD, then it may not matter. These days, the differences are noticeable in 4k, especially shooting wider than T4. This lens is an amazing value and punches well above her weight. Sharp enough to resolve tack-sharp in 4k, and they claim it's sharp enough for 8k. I won't comment much on color/contrast rendition and character because it's so subjective, but to me it produces a very straightforward and grade-able look and doesn't seem to color the footage much. Also haven't tested/can't comment on lens flare characteristics. Favorite features: -Hardly any chromatic aberration wide open, which is where the other lenses in this range typically fall apart wider than T4. Still very sharp at T2. -Offered in E-Mount with is great for my FS7. -Build quality is as good as one would hope for a lens in this range. -No focus breathing!

[Full Frame] This 85mm is a new addition to my Sigma lens set. I already use the 20, 24, 35 and 50, and they are all simply fantastic. First off, these lenses are FAST! 20mm T1.5??? Whaaat? That's madness. Next, they are all incredibly sharp wide open. No need to stop down to get a nice, crisp image. And with the sharpness, comes a beautiful creamy bokeh and great texture and colors. Add to that a (relatively) small size for a cine lens, a nice focus throw/rotation for super accurate focus, beautiful build quality and 8K ready, and you have an excellent tool for many years to come.

[24mm] I have both the Sigma 20mm and 105 mm High Speed primes and couldn't be happier. The construction is solid and the glass is beautiful sharp and has a nice warmth to the bokeh. Worth the investment.

[Full Frame] The Sigma 50mm T1.5 is simply a wonderful lens for me, I use it on every shoot. It works perfect for high-end commercials but is also wonderful for doc shooting since it has a shorter pull than it's competition.

It has an 82mm thread on the front allowing early filter additions when using teleprompter and a mattebox can't be arranged.

The Glow in the dark paint for the markings was really useful when it came to shooting an independent film in limited lighting.

I would recommend a set of Sigma Cine Lenses to anyone who needs to be versatile but is sick of the poor performance of stills glass.

[T1.5] We're getting several lenses from this new Sigma Cine line and our first 50mm just showed up. Build quality is like a TANK and these lenses resolve higher with less chromatic aberation or halation than the Zeiss Classic / CP.2 wide open at T1.5. We've tested this ourselves on 2 Scarlet-W REDs and the results were amazing. We're 100% sold on the Sigma lenses for much of our day to day work.
