Sigma 35mm T1.5 FF High-Speed Prime E-Mount Feetcombine the same high-quality optics and mechanics of their Global Vision still line in a cine-oriented design. This 35mm Sony E-Mount prime is a mid-range focal length in the series, offering full-frame sensor coverage, 6-8K resolution, and a T1.5 aperture in a compact, lightweight form; it is also available in Canon EF and PL mounts. Electronic contacts in the mount provide lens data communication between the lens and the camera. A common 95mm front diameter and similar physical attributes across the lens line make it easier and quicker to mount lens accessories such as matte boxes, follow focuses, and lens control motors.

The 9-bladed iris produces pleasing out-of-focus bokeh effects and ghosting and flaring have been minimized. Color reproduction is standardized for easier color correction. Each lens in the range offers consistent lens gear positions and 180° of focus barrel rotation. The FF High-Speed Primes also feature a clickless iris with linear markings, dampeners on each gear ring for silent operation, industry-standard 0.8 module gear pitch, and engraved markings for durability. Focus marks are in feet with select markings in luminous paint for easy visibility in low light.

To relieve stress on your camera's lens mount, a support foot is built into the dust- and water-resistant metal lens body. If you wish to fit your FF High-Speed Prime lens to a different camera, the Canon EF and Sony E mount versions can be converted from one to the other by an authorized Sigma service center (not available for PL mounts).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will these lens cover arri mini lf sensor with out darkening circle at t1.5 or t 2?

A: Since the Canon Sumire Prime Lenses cover a full frame (36mm x 24mm) image circle, there will be a slight darkening of the corners at the wides apertures when shooting at 4.5K LF 3:2 Open Gate.

Q: 2. Does this come with a case?

A: Yes it does. The Sigma PMC-002 Hard Case for 5x FF High Speed Prime Cine Lenses is included with this kit.

Q: 3. Do these lenses transmit exif data or metadata to camera?

A: No, the Canon 35 mm Sumire Prime T1.5 (PL Mount, Feet) does not support sending EXIF Metadata to the connected camera.

Q: 4. Will this cover a GFX sensor corner to corner giving sharp star fields wide open?

A: No it will not. This lens has an image circle of 43.3mm This is not large enough to cover the GFX 43.8 x 32.9 mm sensor. The lens will have a heavy vignette when mounted on any of the GFX cameras.

Q: 5. Does the Sigma ART line of smaller (photography sized) lenses feature the same optical performance as these?

A: When it comes to lenses the quality of the lens can be subjective, but I would say the look/operation of the Sigma 50mm T1.5 Fully Luminous FF High-Speed Prime (EF Mount, Feet) would general be considered superior to the Sigma ART series.

Q: 6. Is there a 65mm Sigma Art version with autofocus?

A: No, there is no autofocus version of the Sigma 65mm T1.5 FF High-Speed Cine Prime Lens (Canon EF Mount, Feet) in EF mount.

Q: 7. Will this PL Mount lens work with the RED PL mount fixture?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 8. When shooting in the set, have you ever thought that you wish the focus of these lenses had a 300-degree rotation instead of 180? Would you mind describing the situation?

A: Large focus throws are imperative when working with significantly shallow depth of field.

Q: 9. What does "fully luminous" mean?

A: For the Sigma 85mm T1.5 Fully Luminous FF High-Speed Prime (EF Mount, Feet), "Fully Luminous" refers to the markers on the lens being glow in the dark so you can view them in low light.

Q: 10. Is there a Cooke/I dataport as well like on Zeiss XD or Cooke lenses? Or is the /I data just transferred via the mount

A: this lens supports standard cooke i Technology through the lens mount, there is no extended data or expanded I support

[Yes] We're getting several lenses from this new Sigma Cine line and our first 50mm just showed up. Build quality is like a TANK and these lenses resolve higher with less chromatic aberation or halation than the Zeiss Classic / CP.2 wide open at T1.5. We've tested this ourselves on 2 Scarlet-W REDs and the results were amazing. We're 100% sold on the Sigma lenses for much of our day to day work.

[Sony E] This 35mm Cine lens has completely changed not only what I use on a shoot-to-shoot basis, but the entire look of everything I shoot. It's the perfect focal length for interviews in 4k and I've also been using it for handheld shoots and B-Roll.
Yeah, it's a prime so you have to walk around or move your tripod to get the close up or wide, but for the quality of the image it's worth it.

The 35mm has created a new cinematic look to my work and I'm saving for more from this family to replace my older Canon photography lenses. Can't recommend enough! Sharp, clean, amazing depth of field and bokeh. Don't hesitate!

[Sony E] I just started using the Sigma FF lenses and shot in a very humid location. No internal condensation seen. These lenses have a much higher resolution as far as sharpness and critical focus goes as compared to my previous cine style lenses. Robust build to say the least. I haven't noticed any chromatic aberration at all. Looking forward to using these on feature work!

[Imperial] I compared many lenses in this range, and it came down to these and the Tokina Vistas. The Tokina's had a beautiful image, but for $6k a lens, I was sure if the value was there.

So I pulled the trigger on a set of these sigmas, and I couldn't be happier. It's the best value for the dollar. I've used their art photo line, but these seem to have a better resolution, they are crispier, and the bokeh falls off like butter. You won't find a better value for the price. The next level up is $6-7k, then $10k

[Imperial] This 85mm is a new addition to my Sigma lens set. I already use the 20, 24, 35 and 50, and they are all simply fantastic. First off, these lenses are FAST! 20mm T1.5??? Whaaat? That's madness. Next, they are all incredibly sharp wide open. No need to stop down to get a nice, crisp image. And with the sharpness, comes a beautiful creamy bokeh and great texture and colors. Add to that a (relatively) small size for a cine lens, a nice focus throw/rotation for super accurate focus, beautiful build quality and 8K ready, and you have an excellent tool for many years to come.

[3.65 lb] The Sigma 50mm T1.5 is simply a wonderful lens for me, I use it on every shoot. It works perfect for high-end commercials but is also wonderful for doc shooting since it has a shorter pull than it's competition.

It has an 82mm thread on the front allowing early filter additions when using teleprompter and a mattebox can't be arranged.

The Glow in the dark paint for the markings was really useful when it came to shooting an independent film in limited lighting.

I would recommend a set of Sigma Cine Lenses to anyone who needs to be versatile but is sick of the poor performance of stills glass.
