It reduces wind noise (up to 12 dB) and clothes rustle,and is suitable for interviews or news broadcasts located outdoors in windy conditions.

This Windjammer features an elasticized opening and a foam insert to secure the microphone within it. For maximum wind-noise reduction, the windscreen that was included with your lavalier microphone can be used as well.

A: Even though the MKE40 is a larger diameter lapel than the microphones the jammer is design to be used with,the elastic opening of the jammer is quite liberal and would go over the 40.

A: The diameter of this mic seems to be to big for that windjammer based on Rycotes specs. Here's a similar lav windjammer which has a more universal fit BH #AUWLW.

A: The Rycote Furry Windjammer is recommended for your Audio Technica 831. It fits over the foam so it should be fine.

A: The Rycote Lavalier Windjammer will work with the Rode lavalier.

A: Yes! The foam inserts don't fit on the mic but it's big enough that the elastic on the windjammer will slip over the element and stay there.

A: I believe it will fit, the opening for the mic to slide into is 7/8 of an inch. The muff is great cutting the wind

A: Yes, the Rycote 105501 foam windscreens are compatible for use with Sennheiser ME 2, ME 2-II and ME 4 lavalier microphones which are the most common mic models that are included with the ew100 wireless microphone systems.

A: Hi Adrian. This is not a mic we have tested with our Lavalier Windjammers here at Rycote HQ, but based on the capsule measurements I believe it will work. Note that you will need to use the supplied foam inserts to securely hold the capsule inside the Windjammer (these ship inside the packets). I hope that helps!
