The Smith-Victor Quick Release Plate MG63 Tripodis compatible with the MG63 Tripod-Monopod Kit. The magnesium plate measures 1.75 x 1.75", and has a standard 1/4"-20 screw, which will fit cameras with the same thread. This plate can be a replacement or serve as an extra plate for when you're shooting with an additional body.

A: It is very sturdy, mostly solid metal constructions. We have a Blackmagic Cinema camera with zoom lens (probably about 5lbs total) mounted on a 90 degree angle and it stays very consistent.

A: This plate is for Smith-Victor Pinnacle Series Tripods, more than likely it will not work on an Ambico Tripod. I'm sorry to say we do not sell Ambico products at this time.

A: It will not work with that tripod.

Q: 7. Will a Manfrotto or Giotto sliding plate fit in the slot?

A: Sorry, but we are unable to test this. I did contact Smith-Victor and they were unable to verify. What I can suggest is if you have the head and the Manfrotto and Giottos plates do not work, you could use the Manfrotto 577 Rapid Connect Adapter with Sliding Mounting Plate (501PL).

Q: 8. Does the sliding plate have both 1/4 and 3/8 screw together?

A: No, there are not screwed together, but you have the option of both. The plate is drilled for both options and also includes the screws. I hope it helps your question.

Q: 9. will this fit the ambico v-0552?

A: It will not fit it.

Q: 10. Is it compatible with the Magnus VPH-20 Video Pan head?

A: Yes, that head is compatible with this tripod.

[0.02 lb] Using this tripod dolly was a useful solution for us for a couple reasons - it added stability to an inexpensive tripod and also gave our set-up easier mobility, even on some carpets. Using a heavier cam (Canon XHA1 with wide angle attachment), the tripod dolly gives us a little more feeling of security moving the cam around in a room and between rooms. We haven't shot footage while rolling on this tripod dolly yet, so I cannot report on that. 5

[0.02 lb] No assembly to speak about; one just places the tripod into the dolly's arms, tighten thumb screws, and you're done. Wheels are large and well made. Absolutely rigid. Folds up and even provides a handle and case. Bought one and tried it out; I've just bought my second one. 5

[1/4"-20] I had no replacement plate for my PRO-FOTO tripod, took a chance and purchased the plate for a SMITH-VICTOR because it looked the same and it fit. 5

[0.02 lb] Others have mentioned, in the reviews for the Smith-Victor MP100 Monopod with Ballhead, that extra quick release plates are not offered. Though it is not listed in the above mentioned product's accessories, this is it. 5

[Magnesium alloy] I do event videos, wedding birthday parties musical shows. I would a little skeptical because of the $ price but the Tripod Dolly A was exactly what I needed. I was glad I bought two dollys. 5

[0.02 lb] I received the dollies right before a big shoot of a high school reunion. They were very simple to set up and we were able to get some rolling shots of the graduating class of 1971. I believe this product was well worth the money paid. The only down fall, if there is one at all, is that the wheels need to be a little bigger. While we were on hard flooring, I think rolling them on carpet will be a little more challanging. And did I mention they come with their own carrying case. Nice touch. 5
