The DOD Mini Expression Pedal is designed to interface with compatible pedals, providing expression control over apposite parameters, and a footprint roughly equivalent to that of most other stompboxes. An all-steel construction ensures ruggedness over time, while a gear drive is employed to effectuate level, meaning there are no interior strings that could potentially break.

With one 1/4" output, the Mini Expression offers a selector to better gear the pedal with various connection types, allowing you to choose between TRS, TS, RTS, while adjusting the resistance to compensate. The pedal provides a linear potentiometer which can switch between 25 kOhms for TRS and RTS connections, and 10 kOhms for TS termination points. The Mini Expression Pedal is passive, so no power is required for operation.

[2.85 lb] Historically I've always used Yamaha FC7 volume pedals, but I wanted to try something with a smaller footprint. I've read many reviews stating the superiority of the FC7, and while I do agree it is smoother and more sturdy, the EV5 has turned out to be much better than expected. For me, the lighter weight and smaller footprint was worth the switch.

[2.85 lb] So far I have been very pleased with this unit. It is well built and easy to use. Plenty of effects and modeling choices with many more online for download. The power adapter that comes with it is not very sturdy. I ordered a backup just in case.

[1.1 lb / 0.5 kg] After working my way through various competing processors (including other Boss and Roland products) that offered similar capabilities I had pretty much given up on finding one that suited my needs. The GT-1's combination of preset factory sounds, their ease of tweakability, variety of effects and ease of their tweakability offers a player a massive selection of tools to work with. Controls are easy to use and logical in how they are set up. Couldn't be more pleased.

[2.85 lb] Zoom knocks it out of the park with every product they make. I needed a volume pedal. This multieffects unit cost less than a volume pedal. Plus it gives me a looper, drum machine, and multieffects.

This pedal provides a studio quality effect unit for the price range. I don't play out live so I don't know what the noise level of this pedal is like under stage conditions. I also bought the Zoom MS-50G which is a higher quality pedal but not as fun. The MS1 has knobs and switches for effective realtime control.

It is very easy and faster to write and customize effects compared to the MS-50G. Both pedals are great.

[2.85 lb] Well built, metal cased pedal for almost half of what Roland or any other keyboard mfr. charges for their plastic fantastic expression--and it will change polarity with the flick of a switch!

[1.1 lb / 0.5 kg] Wonderful pedal - solid construction and feel even with some plastic. Removable cord is a great feature, use what length I want, not the manufacturer. Finally, and most important, the expression range is evenly spread across the pedal's entire travel range. Much better than the Yamaha I had that did it all in the last 1/10th - unusable. With this pedal you can really Express Yourself

[2.85 lb] I'm a Zoom fan from way back. This new offering from Zoom is very user friendly and intuitive. The lcd display is large and very easy to navigate. That fact that it also houses a looper and a rhythm section with multiple drum beats is an added bonus. And then of course is the most important thing - it sounds great. I'm extremely happy with it. Thank you B&H.
