It features a straight-to-Turbo option, recharges via USB, and comes with a multi-purpose clip for your pocket or hat brim, which also covers the switches to prevent accidental activation and protects the USB port from water and dust.

The TIP 2017's main brightness settings — ultralow, mid, and high — are accessed by clicking the mode button. You can turn on the light straight to turbo by holding the mode button for a full second. Choose between two operating modes: Daily mode shuts the light off automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity to save power, while in Constant-On mode, the light stays on until you turn it off. You can switch from Daily to Constant-On with a simple press of the power switch.

The TIP offers big-light technologies such as Advanced Temperature Regulation to prevent overheating, precision digital optics technology for a long beam throw, and constant current circuitry for consistent performance. It has built-in overcharge, over-discharge, and short-circuit protection and stops drawing power automatically when it is fully recharged. Runtimes range up to 46 hours. There's an indicator light that lets you know how much battery power you have left, and a lockout mode to prevent the light form being accidentally turned on in your pocket or bag.

[6.3 x 3 x 0.9"] I purchased the MH41 to use as a safety device while I run. Since I run at a very early (before sunrise) time in the morning and on a road shoulder, I need reflective clothing and a good illumination and signaling device to let drivers know where I am. This light functions very well for that purpose, but it is heavy. The turbo mode is extremely bright and overall the flashlight illuminates a long way off and has an efficient spread of white light from central to edge. I don't do Search and Rescue, but I would expect that it would be useful for that purpose, since it has a signaling mode, beacon mode and the necessary brightness to light a good area of territory. The flashlight comes with two rechargeable (in the light) 18650 Nitecore Li-Ion batteries, charger, lanyard, spare tail cap, etc., so it is a good value for the price. It is also waterproof, so you can use it in the rain. I can comment on the use of this flashlight for Law Enforcement also. While it would be useful as a general-purpose flashlight, as well as a self-defense, non-lethal weapon, it is too large and heavy to carry on a duty belt. It would probably best be left on the right front seat of a cruiser during rounds. For searching indoor and outdoor areas, it is very effective, due to its versatility and throw, so it's more of a general-purpose light. The light is so bright, however, that it will probably blind anyone who looks directly into it while on turbo mode, so each agency will have to determine policy if it's to be used for non-lethal defense. The only problem I have with the light, other than its weight, is that warranty service is done in China and the light has to be sent to B&H for them to forward it to the manufacturer for warranty service. That takes lots of time, so I figure that two to three months to get the light back is realistic. 5

[6.3 x 3 x 0.9"] Yes it's a bit pricey but it is the nicest keychain flashlight that I have ever owned. 3 best features: 1) 360 lumens option which is very bright; 2) a setting that will prevent the flashlight from going off by accident in your pocket for more than 30 seconds; and 3) a usb port to recharge. And, customer support where someone actually answers the phone. For a few dollars more get the extended 3 year warranty. I highly recommend this product. 5
