A: It would depend on the maximum mechanical shutter speed of your camera. While the Rotolight does not use HyperSync technology (which is only used by PocketWizard's FlexTT5/FlexTT6 and MiniTT1 radio remotes), it is compatible with High Speed Sync (HSS) when using a camera and radio transmitter/receiver that is also High Speed Sync-compatible. Rotolight lists on page 10 of the Rotolight AEOS instruction manual that they recommend HSS triggers such as the Cactus VI II, the PocketWizard FlexTT5 and FlexTT6, both which have models compatible with Canon cameras, and the Phottix ODIN II, which has models compatible for both Canon and Sony cameras. With these radio triggers and their compatible receivers/transceivers, you would be able to shoot to the camera's maximum mechanical shutter speed, which on most higher-end cameras is 1/8000th of a second.

However, they only state the Lux output measured at 3 feet, which is listed as 5750 lux @ 3ft. [2.05 lb] The yoke allows full vertical rotation of the AEOS and the knobs lock it in place. Horizontal rotation is accomplished with the tripod mount knob. Unlike, the ball head that came with my kit, I can adjust the vertical tilt and make other small adjustments without the ball head mounting plate coming loose and flopping around (looks really amateur in front of a client). Expensive, but well-made and worth the money when on the job. The AEOS and yoke fit in the two-light Rotolight carry-case without removing the yoke. 5

[2.05 lb] So far these lights have done the trick for me. Not as bright as I expected but still able to get the job done. This kit does not come with batteries or chargers. The stands need a bit of fidgeting and could be a bit sturdier but overall this is a great kit! 5

[2.05 lb] I was a bit worried when I read the review that some claim it does not work as advertised for the flash sync. However, I bite the bullet and bought them as it is a reputable manufacturer and I doubt it would be that far off....glad I make that decision. Being a Elinchrom user I already own the Skyport control, which make it very easy to add this to my system. I have to assume the one who wrote that negative review have no clue how to use it, or he does not even have the high speed sync controller that is necessary for that function on these unit. 5

[2.05 lb] Easy to attach and use. However cannot figure out how to attach the soft box kit. I have a feeling that it must fit on the outside of the doors to get the benefit of its reflective interior. But? Otherwise, the doors are great and easily and safely attached. 5
