[PC] I purchased this as an alternate to the Pentax branded unit due the the difference in cost. I have not been disappointed. I use the unit with a K50 and a K20; and wanted to have a P-TTL flash for those occasions when I wanted to still get good shots, while still enjoying the occasion. Family events, birthdays and any time I didn't want to have to have my Photographers Brain active to set the manual Yongnuo unit I have been very happy with for the last few years. P-TTL is not the photographers answer to all lighting situations, but for this price, a Pentax user would have to be foolish to not have one in he bag. And as always, B&H is awesome to deal with.

[360°] stellar performance worked well just out of the box ttl functioned well and for an amature photographer who bought the YN568EXII and only had use for only 3 events .. I was apprehensive that it would fail and hope it would not... Well so successful photos in a challenging room with long tables... lots of windows, no shades, and the lighting ouch...
The flash other accessories work well....

[Shoe] A dedicated flash for my Pentax K70 goes for about $400.  This does the job nicely for a fraction of the price!

[1.15 lb] This is the best speedlight for its price. It is TTL and able to support high speed sync (HSS). The only thing I don't like about this is its battery door which looks brittle and may easily break when accidentally dropped.

[PC] I looked at the Pentax AF540FGZ II  flash and was shocked at the price.  I have a manual Yongnuo YH560IV and really like it.  The YN585EX is Pentax dedicated and offers as many or more features than the Pentax models and has a bit more power (GN 190 vs 177) does and has a longer zoom range 85 vs 105mm at less than 1/5 the cost.

The feel of the YN585EX is one of quality.  It has a nice heft and the overall fit and finish appears to be high.

So far I have no complaints nor do i expect to have any in the future.

[PC] I have two $350+ brand name flash units broken on my desk, and this $90 off brand unit is my go to workhorse.
Got it for small jobs when i dont need my strobes, and this thing has been worth its weight.
Light is a tad cool, so i add a 1/8 CTO gel on front for most people applications. Otherwise, it lives long on a full charge and was easy enough to learn to operate.

[1] After reviewing several speedlite options for my Pentax K1, I decided to order the Yongnuo dedicated speedlite. I was immediately impressed with build quality of the product and the clarity of the instructions. The range of features is impressive but even more impressive is the ease of use and the even quality of illumination. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great value and great quality speedlite for a Pentax.

[Yes] This is an excellent and versatile flash light unit.
However, the instructions on mounting the unit in the Pentax hot shoe are incomplete.  The diagrams on page 9 for Install on the Camera are correct.
It should be stated that the locking ring must be rotated all the way up counterclockwise in order to completely retract the locking pin.  Only then can the flash unit be removed from the camera.  Otherwise, the locking pin is partly extended in place.

[360°] Just bought the Yongnuo YN568EX III and used it for the first time at a glamour/model shoot.  I set my camera to 2.8 and tested out the high speed sync capabilities of this flash.  Outside without a diffuser on TTL it was overexposed.  Set the exp. compensation down and it worked great.  Would definitely buy again or another if needed.

[Yes] This speedlight never ceases to amaze me. Spot on P-TTL exposure accuracy and off camera P-TTL. I definitely got more than I anticipated with this flash. I dug out my light stands and started to really have some fun. If you have a Pentax DSLR you need this flash to take your photography to another level. I just wanted a flash with P-TTL and I got a whole lighting system to play with.
