Styled in a high-gloss finish, the Luthier Series C9 Parlor from Cordoba is a 7/8-size, nylon-string, classical guitar, which combines the full, warm, and responsive tone of a Canadian cedar top with solid mahogany back and sides. As such, the guitar will tend to have a full-bodied and rounded sound. A fan bracing pattern provides the soundboard’s center a large surface area, which, when vibrating and responding to your strings’ tension, facilitates a loud and projecting sound.

The instrument’s mahogany neck, measuring 24.8” in scale, is outfitted with a rosewood fingerboard and 19 frets, joining the body at the 12th fret. You’ll find side-position inlays at the fifth, seventh, and ninth frets for easier visual orientation. An accessible 4mm truss rod will come in handy for neck adjustments, while a bone nut helps bolster sustain and resonance on open strings.

Aesthetic touches abound, such as six-ply colored-wood top purfling, three-ply maple and ebony back-and-side purfling, and Indian rosewood binding. A rosewood bridge affixes strings to the body, while at the headstock, Cordoba Premium Gold Tuning Machines with black, ebony-style buttons have been employed. These tuning machines sport a gear ratio of 14:1 for precise tuning, giving you a string-roller spacing of 35mm. A Cordoba Polyfoam Case is included to help your instrument stay protected from harsh interior conditions when not in use.

Q: 2. I own the Vella BG-C9 grip. The tripos screw plate fell out. Is there a warranty or a way to repair?

A: There was a warranty but I never had to use it. The grip has worked fine and continues to work fine. Sorry you had an issue with yours. Best bet is to contact B&H Customer Service or Vello Customer Service. They should be able to help you. Good Luck!

A: I've had no problems, very happy with it.

Q: 4. Can I mount the base plate of my tripod with this battery grip attached for canon 5D mk III?

A: Yes. The Vello BG-9 battery grip has a 1/4 -20 thread on the bottom.

Q: 5. How much load can the grip handle? I use a belt that attach to trypod mount screw. So is this able to handle a hevy lens.

A: I have not notice any problem even when I have a sigma 150 to 600 lens on my camera. It's a sport medel which is heavy.

Q: 6. Is it compatible with Canon EOS R?

A: Hi, this battery grip is compatible with only the Canon 5D Mark III, 5DS, and 5DS R. It is not compatible with the EOS R camera.

A: This battery grip is not compatible with the 5D Mark II. You will need the BG-C2.2.

Q: 10. Will this fit the new Canon 5D Mark IV?

A: I don't know, I purchased it to fit my 5DS and it fits and works perfectly... Awesome product for the price!

[11.64 lb] Great instrument for the price. Rich tones, easy to tune with very few flaws in craftsmanship. I use as a backup to my main. As you would suspect the strings that come with it are some weak but that was expected so I broke the E string tuning it. Boo hoo. So, if interested get a good set of replacement strings at purchase. I’ll upgrade with a higher quality Córdoba. 5
