A: It is important when using this developer to get the temperature down to 20 C, or 68 F. When the temperature is higher it is necessary to greatly shorten the developing time, otherwise the paper can be over developed, and gray out the whites. A little ice can help to lower the temperature.

[0.95 lb] I actually did some thing one should not do, I used a new to me developer to develop new to me film. The results were just plain nice. I used L-76 for the first time yesterday to develop four 35mm rolls of Kentmere ISO 100 film and two rolls of 120 Kentmere ISO 400 film. In the past I have always been a Kodak devotee. But now that we can no longer get Kodak chemistry we must find other products. I am fully pleased with Legacy L-76 developer. It worked very well and I now have six rolls of film properly developed and scanned into my computer. I used time and temperature settings as laid out in an OLD Kodak Black and White Darkroom Data book for Kodak Plus X film. Legacy L-76 is my new benchmark developer. Defiantly will be buying more just before this gallon runs out so I may continue processing my black and white film at home.
