The Realtree AP Snow LensCoat Cover for Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC G2from LensCoat Cover for Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC G2is a waterproof neoprene cover that protects your lens from scrapes and bumps helping to preserve its resale value. The lens cover provides a thermal barrier during cold weather, and breaks up the shape of your lens, making it less visible to wildlife.

For ease of use, there is a clear plastic window allowing you to access the AF controls and the distance scale, and an orientation hole for viewing the red dot indicator, which allows you to mount the lens on your camera without removing the lens cover. The cover includes an extra, easy to install and remove, touch-fastened piece for when you need to zoom the lens, and two additional pieces for use with the rotating tripod collar.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this lens have a warranty?

A: Yes, it comes with a limited 6-year warranty.

Q: 2. Does this work with other Nikon cameras such as D5300 and D3400?

A: This lens will work without issue on Nikon DX cameras such as the 3400 and 5300. Because the image is magnified as compared to a full frame sensor you get more reach and bring in that Piping Plover into view.

Q: 3. Will this lens Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 for Nikon F work and operate on my Nikon D-60?

A: Yes, it's fully compatible with the D60.

Q: 4. Will this lens work on a 7d Camera????

A: It works perfectly on my 7dmii!

Q: 5. If I use this on my Nikon D5200 and I get the 1.5 Zoom how will the image quality be at 900 mm? Also does it change the F Stop?

A: Image quality would be good within the limits of the D5200; maximum aperture at 150mm is f/5.6 and changes quickly to f/6.3 throughout the zoom range from about 400mm to 650mm.

Q: 6. Is this lens compatible with the Nikon Z6 II?

A: This is an F mount lens and the Z6 II is a Z mount camera so they are not directly compatible.

Q: 7. I have the first version of this lens (Tamron 150-600 mm) and it freezes up my 80D. I can't find a firmware update for it. I was thinking of buying the G2, but I have read that it freezes up the 80D too. Will it freeze up my 80D?

A: The G2 version is far better than the first version which I had and sold to buy the G2. It does not freeze up on my Canon EOS 70D. Works perfect on it. Also works on my 5D. Cannot speak for 80D but I would expect it to!!! Suggest you consult the forum ugly Hedgehog. Lots of users there

Q: 8. What is the weight of this lens? That should be included in specs.

A: This lens Weight 4.42 lb

Q: 9. Is this lens compatible with a D80?

A: The D80 has the usual Nikon F mount, so it should be compatible with the Tamron. It's compatible with my crop-sensor Nikon D7100 if that helps.

Q: 10. Why are there no stops on the arca tripod collar? Nice touch to have it built in, but very un-nerving that it could just slide all the way out if it were to become loose.

A: Actually, there are stops. They are not attached. They are included in a small separate bag and can be attached to the underside of the foot using the included allen wrench.

[0.325 lb] Not much to say about a neoprene cover. It works as advertised. It's a bit tough to get on, but it's rubber and it's a tight fit (as it should be). I've used Lenscoat before and do recommend them.

[0.325 lb] The 150-600 is such a massive lens you need something to protect it. The LensCoat is a must to protect the lens from getting scratched, etc...
