[0.18 lb] this monitor make me feel comfortable when have outdoor set or some set have to run and gun

[0.18 lb] Not much I can say other than it protects my Atomos Shogun 7 from scratches and sun reflection.

[0.18 lb] When B&H put the special price with the accessory kit out for this, I knew I had to pick one up. Being able to record from flags from HDMI or SDI is a dream; the screen is nice and bright and works perfectly for my needs!

[LEMO type male] I use this breakout cable to connect a mixer board or recorder (e.g., Zoom F8) to a Shogun 7, for professional balanced audio, synchronized with video as it is recorded. 3.5 mm TRS connections are too fragile for professional use, and are generally unbalanced.

[LEMO type male] This is my second Shogun 7 kit. When you rely on something so frequently, a backup is good insurance. I use the Shogun 7 to record up to 4 SDI signals and use it to produce a switched program output to an encoder for streaming. The video and audio quality is outstanding, and it is very easy to learn and use.

[0.18 lb] Just finished a 3 camera plus computer switch this past weekend. Used a converter to match the computer to my 3 cameras. Flawless output and recording of two 90 minute shows. It was a live dance recital performed in an empty theater and streamed to a private VPN. Over 400 tickets were sold and the client almost kissed me at the end of the two shows.


I trained one of the choreographers to do the actual switch. He loved the ease of just touching the screen to switch cameras and then go to computer for a short video playback between dance numbers.



Atomos performed so well I am going to get a Sumo 19 just because it is so big and has XLR inputs.

[LEMO type male] This review is for the brand new Shogun 7 release in October 2023 with AtomosOS 11. I currently have the Ninja V which I love but I film hockey games and its sometime hard to follow the puck on the 5 screen. The new Shogun 7 makes a big difference and allows me to zoom in further but yet I can still follow the puck action. Most controls are very similar to the Ninja V so if you have used that in the past you feel right at home. Battery life isn't much worse than the Ninja V. Its a little bulkier in size but not too bad. Also you get a USB C power cable so you can plug that in and have the battery connected remotely keeping the weight down on the actual monitor.

[LEMO type male] This is a great item, but there is a learning curve. I am currently using it for a 2 camera shoot with 2 Laptops. If you are going form HDMi to SDI, you will need some converter boxes. I also purchased those converter boxes with the Shogun 7. The ATA case, I give it really 3 to 3.5 stars as there is no instructions or recommendations on how to properly store the items in the red case. (Ie. Where do you place the accessories in the case).


The power kit is also very good.



Other than that the Shogun 7 itself is work every penny.
