Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the shelf life of this developer after it has been mixed into liquid form?

A: Hi--if the liquid is kept in a tightly sealed container, it will maintain its potency for at least 60-90 days.

Q: 2. Can you share the lifecycle status of this product? Is there risk that this product will become obsolete?

A: Depending on storage conditions fixer should last for about 2-3 years after mixing.

Q: 3. Can it print passport size too

A: This Hiti paper is sized 5 inches by 7 inches for the HiTi P510L printer. If you printed 2 "by 2" American passports on the HiTi P510L printer you would be wasting all the bordered area. A better recommendation for the Hiti P510L printer for American passport printing is to use the 4 inch by 6 inch media and inform the printer that your will be printing 2 inch by 6 inch Photobooth prints therefore maximizing the print area and having much less waste, you could end up printing 3 passport size images on the 2 by 6 inch paper and not needing to cut the edges, lessening potential for human error (in trimming).

Q: 4. How does it compare How does it compare to T-max developer? Particularly for Ilford Delta 100 film?

A: Legacy Pro LMAX Liquid Film Developer is nearly identical to Kodak Professional T-MAX Film Developer. Processing is basically the same.

Q: 5. Can the chemistry be stored once mixed? And how many 8x10 can this process?

A: The bleach solution can be reused. The number of 8 x 10's in not listed. We would be of the opinion of 3 dozen at least.

Q: 6. Can you purchase the ribbons already in the trays?

A: This would come with both the ribbon and paper roll. We do not sell either on its own.

Q: 7. How long to be washed after fixer?

A: black and white film, 2- 4 minutes, then hypo clear, and wash 5 minutes.

Q: 8. What developer does this equal to?

A: This developer closely resembles the performance of Kodak D76.

Q: 9. How many rolls can I develop with this? Also how easy is to mix smaller amounts - let's say 1L at a time? Thanks

A: Chemicals are not a one time use. As they start fading, you reinforce them.

Q: 10. Can you use this developer for photo paper developer?

A: The Eco Pro LegacyPro Ascorbic Acid Powder Black/ White Film Developer (Makes 5 L) is ideally suited to film developing. They make a separate Eco Pro Black and White Paper Developer which comes in a few sizes. https://bhpho.to/3RYEElH

[0.04 lb] I use a large mixing bowl, filled with filtered water. I use the microwave to warm the water, 2-3 minutes, and mix about half the powder. Repeat for the remaining powder. Let it cool over night.

[0.04 lb] Behaves the same as Xtol, which (as I write) has been temporarily discontinued. The packaging is superior to Kodak's, which was a clumsy design of two taped-together bags. LegacyPro includes parts A and B, individually bagged, inside a third bag along with instructions. I found time and temperature performance to be identical with Xtol for Ilford films, both roll and sheet.
