Get smooth, easy, and accurate elevation and X-Y movement of your camera setup on the studio floor with the Vinten Fusion FPR-210+ Robotic Pedestal Absolute Positioningfrom Vinten. Boasting a payload capacity of 210 lb, the FPR-210+ supports the combined weight of an optional FH-145 head plus a studio camera, studio lens, and prompter/vanity monitor combo up to 145 lb.

The FPR-210+ recognizes compact L-shaped floor targets that work across a wide range of floor finishes. Additionally, it comes fitted with the Absolute Positioning System (APS) for maximum accuracy of pedestal positioning wherever you want to go, without fixed floor targets and retargeting routines. The FPR-210+ can be converted to manual via easily accessible buttons to operate the height column.

Q: 1. Does anyone have experience using a Manfrotto 410 on top of the 454 or know of any reason it wouldn't work? We have been using the 410 to obtain the perfect angle for several years, but we are looking for a way to slide the entire camera setup those few critical inches or less to make obtaining the shot a lot easier.

A: For close-up work, I use the 454 on top of my 410. It works great.

Q: 2. Complaints about play in the early rails. Has that been corrected in later products?

A: The aren't any issues with the latest stock.

Q: 3. What is the distance per full turn of the knob? Thanks

A: One full rotation is 1 mm.

Q: 4. Will this railing work with Manfrotto tripod 3021BPRO and a bullhead 488RC4?

A: It works very well together with my Canon 7d and 100 Macro

A: I can't answer this for you. I 've used it with 60D,6D and 5D.....with Tamron 90mm macro...works great for me...thx

Q: 9. I have Manfrotto 488RC4 ballhead with that RC4 quick release system. Will this railing snap on as is? The two answers below seemed to be contradictory.

A: This rail is not quick release ready, you would just screw your existing qr plate into the bottom of this rail.

[210 lb / 95 kg] Used as the support for our main canera in a studio setting. It has added to the shots we can produce with very smooth movments while staying on the subject we are filming. This is a great product, and somthing I've wanted for years but could not justify the cost. The price point of this is where I needed to be and offers all the features of units costing 3 or 4 times more. 5

Originally, I wanted the EPIC Pro, after witnessing the results of that epic photo of the Inauguration. I hesitated, because I also wanted video capability. With the GigaPan EPIC Pro V, I can achieve the panning video and time-lapse video that I wanted. Im very satisfied so far. I would most certainly recommend this product to any photographer/videographer aspiring to add a new capability to their toolbox. Also, great experience from B&H as always, Vic 5

[210 lb / 95 kg] Of course we all dream about a 50M pixel medium format camera to shot stunning landscapes and panorama. I have a great news for you: this Gigapan device can turn your camera into a 100M+ digital camera! I use it with a Leica M8-2 with a Leica 90mm, shooting from 20 to 50 shots. Once stitched either in Photoshop or Gigapan software, a 40x60 at 300dpi is no more a dream it's real. Facing the prints I've done this way is... a stunning experience! Of course to get seamless stitches, perfect optics is necessary. This methods is also limited to non-moving subjects. 5

[30.7" / 77.9 cm] I have used the Gigapan with a Canon G11 to take panoramas of the Frank Gehry Ray and Maria Stata Building, the Le Corbusier Carpenter Center and the Memorial Church in Harvard Yard. You can see them on the gigapan site at gigapan.com where you can zoom in and view snapshots of interesting details. The stitching software is better than any I have seen as long as you follow the rules. The included carrying bag is perfect, allowing the camera, extra batteries, etc to fit in a compact, light-weight package. Having tried several other methods of taking and stitching panoramas, I feel I have finally found an acceptable solution. 5

[30.7" / 77.9 cm] This product is high up there on my list of must haves for quality production. Affordably priced, smooth wheels, and all around great pedestal. Funny sidenote, make sure you read the instructions, as two of our awesome employees took the entire head attachment apart before realizing where the screw holes were... They did however expertly put it back to gether....with the help of a third employee...me. 5
