Q: 8. Regarding wax finish; presuming material is much like many Filson waxed materials. Was not impressed by Tiffen Rep stating "shouldn't be a problem" DAUGH...NO IT SHOULDN'T. So have any of you tried waxing then warming with hair dryer and wiping down with clean cotton cloth to enhance water resistance and improve appearance while eliminating the greasey fee of excessive wax? The bag will ride at waist level. This is my third F-2 in 35 years. I continue to use the other two. One I've had since the early nineties (the other from mid-eighties) is stretched out and hangs a bit lower. The older bags have only one point for strap adjustment this newer bag has two. I have lengthened the strap on one side to its maximum leaving about 6 inches remaining on the other side. The bag material new is stiff at first though over time and with use softens and stretches somewhat.
