Q: 6. Can a dj-style mixer be connected directly to these monitors? Do they need an amplifier or DSP in between? I was thinking about using these for my small home sound system. I have a turntable and a CD player connected to a mixer, which currently feeds into an enormous old Pioneer Digital Signal Processor unit (that gets pretty hot), and I have big old passive event-sized speakers connected to the DSP. I would like to replace the giant speakers with something smaller that will sound good for the space, and I'd *like* to eliminate the DSP unit if possible. But I can't tell from the product info here or on the manufacturer's website if I'm thinking about this correctly or not.

A: These speakers can be connected directly to the outputs of a dj mixer via the two TRS 1/4'' jacks, or the rca inputs on the back. These can also be connected to a DSP units outputs in the same way. Please note, these speakers are already powered by a built in amp, and can not take a connection from a speaker amplifier.

A: The included speaker to speaker cable is approximately 5-feet long.

A: If by 'stage piano' - you mean for live performance use, the Mackie CR3X would not be ideal for that application. The Mackie CR3X is more ideal for listening to your recordings and mixing in a room or a small studio.

A: The current line of Mackie VLZs are an evolution of the original 1604s. They have managed to stay relevant and consistently improve on their original design both aesthetically and technologically. They are still the go to mixer in that price point.

A: The Mackie SRM450 is a high-powered loudspeaker capable of delivering 1000 watts of power. A set of 2 speakers may cover an area with 200-400 people comfortably, provided speaker placement and acoustics of rooms are optimal.

[Black] the description (at the time of purchase [I do not know if a correction has been applied]) notes the gauge of the metal as 16. nonetheless I ordered them on the assumption that the dimension as described was an error. upon receipt, I was content to find that the gauge is approximately 11, which is the common gauge for rackmount rack rails. what proved compelling was the superior finish (important to me as I am mounting these inside a custom car). the numbering on the face of the rails is also a nice complement to aesthetics. 5

[1.765 lb] I could not find this part anywhere for my Soundcraft Signature 10 mixing board (Awesome board by the way!). So I googled it and happened upon B & H Photo's website. They had the custom rack mount kit for my board (They have a HUGE inventory of Pro Audio equipment). So after ordering it came very quickly and packaged very sturdily. I'm not sure about every state but in Florida there is no charge for sales tax and most items with B & H are free shipping! The rackmount is painted in a beautiful metallic sky blue to exactly match the Soundcraft mixing board line's color scheme. It also has a pre-fabricated optional knockout that you can pop out to neatly route your cabling from your rack to the top of your mixing board. [1.765 lb] I ordered these for my department for editing stations and I'm quite impressed. These speakers have incredible sound. There are nice highs, good mids, and a decent amount of bass. I was on the fence about purchasing these or going with a larger version. These are by far the best studio speakers I've used for the price. 5
