The cocoa Countryman B6 Lavalier Mic for Roland Recorders & Mid Gainfrom Countryman B6 Lavalier Mic for Roland Recorders & Mid Gainis a miniature lavalier microphone measuring only 0.1" in diameter. It features a 3.5mm locking connector and connects to select Roland recorders with audio on left and right channels. The B6 microphone provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 130 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable, combined with the ultra-thin diaphragm, ensures low handling noise. The tiny size, combined with natural sound pickup, makes the microphone easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

The included changeable protective caps (+0, +4, and +8 dB) provide moisture resistance and allow you to adjust the frequency response to suit different applications or to match other microphones. Each of the three omni caps has a different high-frequency response characteristic that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This microphone ships with the +4 dB protective cap attached, which boosts the perceived amount of presence in your sound while leaving the lower frequencies unchanged. You can switch to the 0 dB cap in case of problems when using this microphone with high-frequency feedback.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How long is the cord on this?

A: The length of the DJI Lavalier Microphone for Mic 2 has not been specified by the manufacturer, but extension cables such as BH# ROVC1 are available if needed.

Q: 2. What are the dimensions of the mount? I have roughly 1.5" of space between the bridge and end of the string, and I want to make sure it will fit my violin.

A: The specific dimensions of the I2 Violin Mount in the Countryman I2 Violin and Viola Microphone Kit are not provided by the manufacturer, however, this mount should work well in your scenario. Please see images of the mount in action in the product brochure here for reference: https://bhpho.to/3Io5aiC

Q: 3. Is it compatible with the new H8 ?

A: Yes.

Q: 4. Does this, like the Zoom SSH-6 Stereo Shotgun Microphone Capsule, allow the H5 to record in RAW, to allow mid-side balance in post?

A: Yes!

Q: 5. Is this omnidirectional? When I plug it into the DJI Mic where do I put the actually DJI Mic at?

A: The DJI Lavalier Microphone for Mic 2 is an omnidirectional lavalier microphone. The most common place to clip an omnidirectional lavalier mic like this one is onto the lapel, or collar on the shirt of the person who is going to be using the microphone. That would plug into the transmitter, which would most commonly be clipped to the belt line of the person wearing the lavalier microphone, or it can be placed into the pants pocket, size permitting.

Q: 6. What is the Signal-To-Noise Ratio for this?

A: At this time, the SNR is not specified by the manufacturer.

Q: 7. What is the length of this cable?

A: The Roland RCC-10-USXF cable is 10 feet long.

Q: 8. When using this in RAW (mid and side recorded separately, to balance later in post, rather than blending while recording) on the H5, can the H5 still record a second back-up track at reduced gain? From the little I've read on the tech of mid-side, I'm thinking it could work: capsule's stereo file 1 of 2 is mono-mid on left channel and mono-side on right channel, leaving capsule's stereo file 2 of 2 to record same at -12dB. Good guess, or wishful thinking?

A: Yes!

Q: 9. does it have connections for a t5i?

A: The Sony ECM 77B features an XLR connector that is not directly compatible with the T5I, however using a AA battery in the mic plus the proper adapter cable such as the Kopul LMT-100, this mic is able to connect to the 1/8 mic input on the camera.

Q: 10. Any reason why we couldn’t use this cable to provide a mixer output to a computer? Will it only work with a mic level signal?

A: You would be able to send any level your computers audio encoder and handle.
