TheVinten Fusion FHR-35 Remote Pan Tilt Headfrom Vinten Fusion FHR-35 Remote Pan Tilt Headincorporates Intelligent Control Engineering (ICE) that allows the head to deliver better control and accuracy in a compact form. It provides precise position reporting back to the controller, together with zoom and focus data from a digital lens. There are no external interface boxes or power supplies.

The flexible and versatile Fusion FHR-35 is suitable for use in remote locations where a pan and tilt head must be as unobtrusive as possible. With this head, remote locations such as legislative buildings, conference and educational centers, houses of worship, and financial institutions can utilize broadcast quality camera and lens packages up to 35 lb.

A: Yes it can.

A: The S1 has one drag level with settings, The S2 has a total of three levels with settings.

A: Yes. Both the tripod and the Vinten V3996-0001 Vector 950 Head will support the Mitchell flat base mount.

Q: 4. Can this head be converted to a flat base?

A: Hi Jeffrey, Thank you for your enquiry. The Vision blue5 head can be converted to a flat base using Vinten's 75 to 100mm bowl adaptor and 100mm bowl to flat base adaptor, part numbers 3330-243 and 3330-16.

Q: 5. Aside from the price what is the difference between this one at $877.50 AND the Vinten Vision blue3 Head (Black) B&H # VIV41060001 MFR # V4106-0001 at $1228.50 ?

A: The difference between the two heads comes down to weight capacity. The the less expensive Vision Blue Pan and Tilt Head can handle 4.6 to 11 lb/2.1 to 5.0 kg while the Vision blue3 Head can handle 6.6 to 14.6 lb/3.0 to 6.6 kg. If you wish, you can extend the blue3's capacity by getting the Vinten bluebridge Small Camera Adapter which allows cameras starting at 4.63 lb/2.10 kg.

Q: 6. Will i be able to turn on a canon C330 mk ii or a C500 with this head?

A: You can use the Canon C100, C300 and probably the C500. Please email us to confirm the C500. prophoto@bhphoto.com.

Q: 7. Can you remove the half bowl, to mount this to a flat base?

A: Sorry, no, you are not able to remove the ball base on this video head. There are methods of adapting it however. Please see the following suggestions. The Manfrotto Video Head Bowl Adapter offers no leveling but is rock solid, the ikan Hi-Hat Riser offers some leveling and the Alan Gordon Hi-Hat Support I recommend mounting to a board or other support immediately for it is not stable enough for camera use on it's own. The Plywood Mounting Board would be excellent for this purpose. (The mounting board image below is incorrect.)

Q: 8. Is the tie down (bottom bowl clamp) thread on the blue5 M10, or 3/8 ?

A: We were able to determine it is not 3/8 .

Q: 9. Is it possible to export Motion Control data from the KOS app to bring it into AfterEffects for special FX camera tracking?

A: The Kessler Crane CineShooter Pan & Tilt Head offers data to be used with Dragonframe. It does not capture the data for any other software currently.

Q: 10. Is the tripod plate on this head by chance compatible with the RH25D or RH45D Libec Heads? Or Vice Versa?

A: There are no reports of that being possible. Hopefully, someone has these two heads and can test them.

[100 W] The counter-balance system works silky smooth. I would recommend this tripod video head to anyone who wants their video pans & tilts to be smooth. 5

[35 lb (16 kg)] I've owned this head and tripod for a few years now. It's very solid, and about as smooth as any fluid head could be. I've owned others that cost about half or 2/3 as much, but not as good. I've used it in all weather; desert sand and heat, rain, snow, temps down to -30f, wind chills as low as -45. It hasn't skipped a beat. One minor thing... for some reason the pan bar can slip back into the rosette clamp a bit at times. You just have to loosen the clamp, turn and push the bar back in, and re-clamp. Definitely does not affect the operation, so all 5 stars is what I give it. 5

[35 lb (16 kg)] I've always liked Vinten tripods and heads, and this new Vision Blue is one more to like. It's solidly built, pans and tilts smoothly and it is easy to achieve balance. This head is a perfect match for our Panasonic HMC 150 and HPX 170 camcorders - and I feel it would comfortably support a larger-form camera as well. And as a plus, there's the price: This head performs like a much more expensive one. 5

[22.35 lb] Purchased this Head to use with my 70-200mm 2.8l is Lens. Used this for sports photography. Head performed beautifully on my monopod. Also works extremely well on Tripods. It features a panning top portion so I may use this with other arca compatible systems that may not be oriented correctly like advanced flash brackets or nodal rails. Weigh's more than a pound. It's a Tripod Head & Monopod Tilt Head all in one. Highly recommended. 5

[100 W] Man am I blown away at how great this head is! Vinten's Perfet Balance system really does work as intended and is a real joy to use. It's super easy to rebalance after a lens change and takes no time at all. I've never used a properly counterbalanced head until now...what was I waiting for? Even with a roughly 600mm lens I'm able to attain perfectly smooth, controlled pans with minimal, if any backlash. I doubt tracking people or animals with a telephoto lens would be an issue at all. Just make sure you have a solid tripod! All and all I'm extremely happy with this head and it's sure to last me a very very long time. 5
