      Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The ball head can be removed?

A: Yes, the ball head can be removed from the Q166A.

Q: 2. Can the ball head be removed or is it permanently attached?

A: On the TT-15B model, the ball head cannot be removed. If you want to be able to remove it, I recommend the regular TT-15 with the CB-30D ball head - this is basically what you are looking for.

Q: 3. Can the ballhead be removed and be replaced by a Leitz ballhead?

A: Yes, the ball head can be removed.

Q: 4. will my canon sx730 fit on the slik mini pro 111 tripod with ball head?

A: Yes, the Canon SX730 will fit on the Slik Mini Pro 111.

Q: 5. Is there a notch in the ball head of the Feisol TT-15B that would allow to quickly change between portrait and landscape orienration? Also is the ball head compatible with the Peak Design plate?

A: Sorry, the TT-15B does not have a notch. If this is an important feature for you, I recommend that you use the TT-15 with the CB-30D ball head which does have a notch and which the ball head of the TT-15B is based on.We do not have any personal experience with the Peak Design plate and have not received any customer feedback about it - generally speaking, most Arca-Swiss type plates are compatible.

Q: 6. Can this be used with an Iphone 11?

A: This tripod can hold an iPhone 11 when adding a mount such as the Xuma Smartphone Mount, BH # XUMTA300B https://bhpho.to/3t5zibB

Q: 7. What is difference between TT-15B vs. TT-15 Mark II with CB-30D ball head. They look similar to me in terms of load capacity, but TT-15B seems quite cheaper?

A: The TT-15B has an integrated, non-removable ball head which is a simplified version of the CB-30D - it has no Panning Base or Friction Adjustment. The TT-15 M2 comes without a ball head - the CB-30D is an excellent companion ball head for it, but the TT-15 M2 can also be used without a ball head altogether.

Q: 8. can this hold any camera?

A: No. The following unit will support a camera load capacity of 2.6 lb.

Q: 9. Does this come with a quick release plate? If not what can you recommend?

A: The QP-144750 Quick Release Plate is well designed and has bidirectional slots and a lock button that make the mounting/unmounting more secure. The description is misleading where it says "Quick Release Systems not included," so I thought that I needed to add the QP-40 Quick Release Plate at $19.95 which is not as well designed as the included plate. You can compare the two plates if you search the Quick Release Systems accessories for this tripod and order extra QP-144750 plate(s) if you want.

Q: 10. will this hold a Godox AD200 pro flash?

A: No, we suggest the following that will provide a better payload support system. Studio Essentials Tabletop Light Stand (18") BH #STLS301 • MFR #LS301 https://bhpho.to/3vi2nDm

[Yes] This mini tripod is slated for a max load of 2.2 lbs. Even though that's not a lot of weight I find that this mini tripod is fantastic for what it costs.

I recommend this type of tripod for desktop purposes such as mics or small lighting setups. The ball head on its own make this a steal because the ball head is great quality and can be used on other devices.

[Twist Lock] This is a cool mini tripod. It's working out well for me when using a smaller DSLR-type camera and want a low angle. I put my Sony A7III camera on it and this mini tripod handles the weight very well. Since I use smaller cameras more often than not, this is perfect for my needs. This little tripod has become my go to when shooting low angles. The minimum height is 7.5 but the legs and center rod can extend up to 11.8. It comes with a 1/4-20 mount on top so it is also good to hold a small light when you need one down low or on a table, or to hold a microphone on a desk. The build quality is also good, especially at this price point. Legs are made of aluminum and are well constructed. The head, center column and legs secure down tightly and handles the weight well. Specs say it can hold up to 2.2 lbs and I have no reason to doubt that. The head can be positioned vertically or horizontally (and anywhere in between, like a dutch angle). It includes rubber feet on the bottom of the legs that prevent surface scratches, but also helps it stay in position and not slide. The center column also has a suction cup on the bottom of it. I like that addition because it helps the tripod stay secure when at its lowest position. This mini tripod has come in handy multiple times. It folds up very small and is a great addition to my kit. [Twist Lock] I broke the head on my larger slik tripod, and spent the extra ten dollars to get this tripod along with the head. The head is solid, although it would be nice if the tripod itself was a little heavier.

[Ball Head] I have used several small tripods with my Canon SX730. They are handy for selfies and for timed shots where I put the tripod on the roof of my car. The Slik design is somewhat bigger, but has all the features needed for my uses.

The legs are sturdy, the ball head holds the camera in place and the extensions accommodate my applications. What's not to like?

[Aluminum] Works great for putting a camera of modest weight on a table top or car hood to shoot photos. It is so compact that I use a long gear tie (the flexible wire thing) I bought elsewhere and attach the minitripod to the outside of my camera bag where it is always ready for use.

[0.95 lb] Design, materials, and build quality all excellent. Now one of my most useful tools for tabletop photography. Very much worth the price.

[0.95 lb] Bought one of these in 2019. Used many times on hiking trips. Lightweight. Great for nature photography and has smooth enough action for short video pans. Gave the 2019 one to a friend recently and bought one in 2021. This one seems very slightly different somehow but still excellent. Also use it braced against my chest to get standing shots steadied.

[Ball Head] Holds tight, nicely machined, smooth motion, metal knob. It's smaller than it looks, but a good deal for $8.30.
