Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. My walls have been painted with antique white semi gloss paint...can this go over top of it?...or do I need to paint it first white flat white?...

A: Hi Rosco said to paint a small section of the wall let the paint dry for 3 to 4 hours to see how flat the paint looks. If you see a shine you will need to prime the wall

Q: 2. How do I know how much paint to buy? I want to do at least 2 coats on about a 10X20 section of wall.

A: You will need approximately, two gallons of Rosco Chroma Key Paint will some to spare.

Q: 3. Will this paint glow in the dark after exposed to normal fluorescent lighting?

A: This paint does not glow in the dark. It will glow or give the effect of glowing when under ultraviolet lights.

Q: 4. APPLICATION METHOD?HOW MANY COATS?PRIMER?

A: We have a painting crew here on campus. They used traditional latex painting methods...cutting in with a brush, then rolling on the rest. Two coats was sufficient to fully cover a previously painted wall. No primer was used, however if your wall is new or stained, I would recommend Kilz primer underneath.

Q: 5. Will a Blackmagic Broadcast G2 fit width wide with its standard viewfinder?

A: We recommend the following bag for the Black Magic URSA Mini with viewfinder attached. The PortaBrace Carry-On Camcorder Case with Plastic Viewfinder Guard (Black) is not designed to fit the URSA Mini G2. PortaBrace Lightweight Traveler-Style Carrying Case with EVF Protection for URSA Mini Pro BH #POCURSAMINIP https://bhpho.to/40G5W4F

Q: 6. WOULD THIS WORK FOR A FRAME FOR A SPRINT CAR? WHAT ARE THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

A: No, it is not designed for that use. This type of paint is used mainly for sets. They can be used to create special effects using ultraviolet Blacklight or combined with other Rosco paints to make normal colors more vibrant. It is suitable for use on most surfaces and for interior and exterior. Note Fluorescent pigments will degrade from prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light. Avoid direct sunlight where possible.

Q: 7. The name and number on the can is covered in the photo?? is this the ultimatte blue #5720 paint??????

A: This is the Chroma Key Paint and not the Rosco Ultimatte Video Paint in Blue, which is a discontinued item.

Q: 8. Can I paint on bedroom wall?

A: You can. You will need multiple gallons. I painted a vanity with this paint color and was only able to get two coats. It could have used four in order to achieve the look I was going for. The fluorescent pink paint is very bright, but without the right amount of coats the the white base coat shows through. My suggestion is to paint some accents in the room you are thinking, and not an entire wall.

Q: 9. Is this safe on skin? Is it non-toxic?

A: Yes it is safe

Q: 10. Can Rosco Fluorescent Paint (white specifically) be used with any black light (i.e. 385-400 nm) or does it need 365nm only?

A: It can be used with UV light, but they do not specify the NM needed.
