The SKB iSeries 2914-15 Waterproof Case Cubed Foamfrom SKB iSeries 2914-15 Waterproof Case Cubed Foamis molded of high-strength polypropylene copolymer resin and features a gasket-sealed, water and dust-tight, submersible design (MIL-C-4150J). It also features a molded-in hinge, patented trigger-release latch system, comfortable, snap-down rubber over-molded cushion grip handles, automatic ambient pressure equalization valve (MIL-STD-648C), and resistance to UV, solvents, corrosion, fungus, and impact damage (MIL-STD-810F).

A: The foam in the SKB Custom Fit iSeries Waterproof Case for Zoom H4N comes pre-cut for the H4N recorder. Using this with the Zoom H6 would require a bit more foam to be cut out/removed.

Q: 4. Will a Sony 400mm 2.8 fit inside?

A: Hello Douglas Yes. a Sony 400mm 2.8 will fit inside the 3i-2617-12 case. Just an FYI, sometimes some camera lens hoods might be slightly big which might could cause it not to fit.

Q: 5. Is the body of the XF605 close enough to the XF400/XF405 that this case would work for the XF605?

A: This case is not compatible with the XF605. The XF605 is significantly larger than the XF405.

Q: 6. Is this case compatible with the Sony ILME-FX6?

A: The SKB iSeries 1610-10 Waterproof Case with Video Dividers and Lid Foam (Black) interior is 15 x 9 x 8.5". Therefore the Sony FX6 Full-Frame Cinema Camera will fit as long as the attached lens is not too large.

A: This SKB Mil-Std. Waterproof Case 8 (B&H # SK3I1914N8BE, MFR # 3I-1914N-8B-E) is just a hair wider, with interior dimensions of 19.00 in (48.26 cm) long, 14.50 in (36.83 cm) wide, and 8.00 in (20.32 cm) deep. The other SKB 3I-1914-8B-E Mil-Std Waterproof Case 8 Deep (B&H # SK3I19148BE MFR # 3I-1914-8B-E) has barely smaller dimensions at: 19.00 in (48.26 cm) long, 14.38 in (36.53 cm) wide, and 8.00 in (20.32 cm) deep. Other than the width being slightly different, the SKB Mil-Std. Waterproof Case 8 (B&H # SK3I1914N8BE, MFR # 3I-1914N-8B-E) is a standard case with no wheels or long pull handle. While the SKB 3I-1914-8B-E Mil-Std Waterproof Case 8 Deep (B&H # SK3I19148BE, MFR # 3I-1914-8B-E) does have wheels and a long pull handle. The N version has no wheels while the other does.

Q: 9. Would this case be good with a Nikon D610 with battery drive attached? How would I position the camera properly?

A: The advantage with this case is the lenses can be transported vertically and thus you can get more long lenses in one case. Regarding the D610 with grip, it is about 6.5 tall. Since the case is 9 deep, I would suggest adding 2-3 of foam to the compartment for the camera/grip so you can place it base down. Then it will not be jostled. I suggest a similar action for the other compartments if needed.

Q: 10. Will this fit Sony UWP-D26 kits?

[28.05 lb] I use this along with some Portabrace pouches for a more rugged case for my Ronin RS2 and loads of accessories. I occasionally rearrange it to hold a fully kitted out Komodo when I need to grab and go. Case is really solid and the padding is well made. 5

[28.05 lb] I've been looking for a case like this for a while, glad I waited. The fact this is an American company, and more affordable is a major plus. This is for my Atlas equatorial mount for a telescope it's got extra room to put in other items. [28.05 lb] I chose this case to protect my digital storage oscilloscope, and it has worked out very well. Plenty of extra space for cables and probes. I'm glad I picked the more rugged ThinkTank interior over the generic pick and pull foam. If I want, I can reconfigure it later without buying new foam. 5

[28.05 lb] After doing online research on where to buy a case with the right dimensions for my DJI Phantom 2 Vision + (with installed propeller guards), I found this case to be the best choice. It is best to cut the foam with a sharp knife for a cleaner, more professional look. Inside, there are 5 layers of 2 foam materials (not counting the bottom and top foam attached to the lid) You don't need the first layer. Set it aside as a spare. On the second layer, trace the profile of your drone and cut only that layer. On the next 3 layers underneath, cut the exact space where the landing skid and camera with gimbal would sit. Now the drone should sit snugly within the cutout sections; and about an inch from the top of the drone is still sticking out. That 2 space is necessary to prevent the top cover from putting too much pressure on the propellers when closed. You are done with layer #2. Remove and set aside layer#2 and work on layer #3 for the rest of the gear. Lay out the controller, batteries, cables, monitors, accessories, etc, within the remaining space and cut the foam for custom fit. When all accessories are in place, nothing should be sticking out of that layer. Replace layer #2 back on top of layer #3 and set the drone into it. It should look nice and neat with no visible clutter other than the drone. View attached photo of the finished case. 5

[28.05 lb] Sizable, large, even. We have trusted the case with laser scanner, tripod, tribrach, camera and other sensitive equipment all in one case. Even though it may be oversized we still trust this to fly with us. And BH sent it very very quickly which helped for our short timeframe. If you need a huge case for something(s) this is a great option. 5
