A: This is a direct fit for the unit and replaces RBC123 directly. Time remaining will look shorter than actual if the unit is designed for the lower capacity unit, but time is extended. I replaced the unit long after warranty expired so was not an issue for me.

Q: 5. Your "Most Helpful Critical Review" says this is a third party product, i.e., not made by APC. Is this true??

A: The APC Replacement Battery Cartridge #124 is a genuine product. B&H is an authorized retailer of APC products and does not carry inauthentically branded items.

[0 to 95%] Not much to say about the battery itself. They're high quality and last quite a long time. I've used a few third party UPS batteries in the past, and found that while they were mostly quite a bit cheaper, they also tended not to last nearly as long. In the end, I would rather avoid the hassle of more frequent replacements, and just buy an official APC battery. I've never gotten less than 3 years out of one. 5

[0 to 95%] This is the third battery we have replaced in our APC over the last 10 years. Still working like a champ. It is easy to replace and really like how easy it is to recycle of the old battery. Thanks to APC for paying the shipping for the recylce. Not all retailers do that. 5
