The Primary Source Expander from Waves is an expander/ducker plug-in designed to provide a simple and efficient interface for live or live-in-the-studio use. By default, it works as an expander, to reduce background bleed and noise when a source is not playing. Alternatively, it can be used as a ducker, to reduce the level of a source when a different signal is playing.

The Primary Source Expander features a sidechain that can be triggered internally or externally. The sidechain offers filters with frequency controls, plus a tweakable delay for the sidechain input. Threshold and range values are adjustable with large, centrally located controls. Meters for gain reduction and sidechain input levels are also in the center of the plug-in window. Three presets for release times are available: Slow (approximately 500 ms), Medium (approximately 250 ms), and Fast (approximately 100 ms).

Q: 3. Is this compatible with Arri Alura 45-250?

A: This adapter works with Super 35 format-compatible PL lenses. The Arri Alura 45-250 has a PL Mount and covers a Super 35mm sensor. Q: 4. I have a Sony fx9 will this work with a Canon 25-250mm lens on this camera?

A: You will need the Tokina PL to Sony E Mount version. Also, this expander only covers Super35 format. You will need to set the sensor scan mode to S35 (Super35).

Q: 5. Are the 1/4-20s on the front to attach LW 15mm rods?

A: There are 1/4-20s on the front but are for accessory mounting, you can attach rods to the threads if you chose to

Q: 6. will this Tokina PL to PL Mount 1.6X expander work whit sigma cine zooms 18-35mm and 50-100mm?

A: Tokina has not made a list of compatible lenses. Supplied with the expander is a gauge so you can check before hand. If you have the lenses, but not the Expander, you can measure 20mm from the tip of the lens to the flange. If longer, no, you cannot use the Expander. If shorter, yes, you can use the Expander. They do say that most PL Zooms such as the ones you are asking about will fit while many PL Primes will not.

A: The Tokina PL to PL Mount 1.6X Expander is meant for scaling super35mm lenses to the larger full-frame sensor size of PL full-frame cameras, but the Atlas Orion Anamorphic Cine Lens set is full-frame and compatible with full-frame PL cinema cameras so no adapter is needed.

Q: 10. What lens mount adapter support can be used with the expander module... I have the Metabones lens adapter and I can't find a lens support that will fix in front of the Komodo Expander module?

A: Try the using the SmallRig Metabones Lens Adapter Support for BMPCC 4K Cage for lens support with the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO Expander Module.
