The 62mm Singh-Ray Thin Mor-Slo Solid ND Filter 62mm 10-Stopis an ND filter with a 1,000x filter factor that provides a 10-stop exposure reduction. Its 3.0 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

This Singh-Ray neutral density filter is constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity and features a thin, 4.6mm aluminum-alloy filter ring for durability which also minimizes the potential for vignetting while remaining lightweight.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. These are not waterproof. What difference would that make ?

A: It would only make a difference if you're using the Ice 77mm Solid ICE ND8 Neutral Density 0.9 Filter (3-Stop) in scenarios where there is moisture in the area or near water. Water resistant filters would make it less likely for water particles to stick to the glass of the filter.

Q: 2. besides the blue cast, is there any color shifting when using this filter? when it comes to color shifting, is there any difference between this ICE 100mm*100mm and other sized ICE circular filters? thanks for ur answers!

A: There is a slightly blue shift, but can be easily fixed. And it vignettes as most ND filters do. I don't have any other ICE filter, this one works very well so far at this price.

Q: 3. What is the difference between this filter and Ice 95mm ND1000 Solid Neutral Density 3.0 Filter?

A: A 1.8 is a 6 stop ND a 3.0 is a 10 stop ND.

Q: 4. Will it fit in Cokin P series holder? Your site is showing P series holder in it's accessories. I have little doubt on it

A: Not directly, no. The Cokin P-series filter holder is designed for use with smaller 85 x 85mm filters, while the Ice Z-Pro Series ND1000 Solid Neutral Density 3.0 Filter (10 Stop) and the Cokin Z-PRO holder is a/uses the larger 100 x 100mm filters. To use the Ice Z-Pro Series ND1000 Solid Neutral Density 3.0 Filter (10 Stop) with the Cokin P-series filter holder, you would need to purchase the Cokin Step-Up Adapter for P-Series Filter Holder to Z-PRO Series Filter, B&H # COZPA.

Q: 5. Can you attach a lens cap to this filter or does it need to be removed when changing locations?

A: You can attach a 82mm lens cap to this Singh-Ray neutral density filter.

Q: 6. Does it fit Lee Holder?

A: Yes, the Ice 150 x 150mm ND8 Solid Neutral Density 0.9 Filter (3-Stop) can be used in the LEE Filters SW150 Mark II Filter System Holder for Wide-Angle Lenses, BH #LESHSW (https://bhpho.to/3G9x824).

Q: 7. Would this be good for solar eclipse photography?

A: The Ice 84 x 98mm P Series ND1000 Solid Neutral Density 3.0 Filter (10-Stop) is not enough for solar eclipse. You can buy two and stack them together. That will work since you will get to 20 stops. If you only want one filter I recommend this 16.5 stop option. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1522594-REG/ice_ice_100k_p_84x98mm_nd100000_3_0_filter.html

Q: 8. I see a lot of reviews saying images are sharp with this filter but, has anyone here done an actual comparison pixel by pixel?

A: not I. But bear in mind that all this is is a sunshade. If it is clean, it should simply reduce the amount of light getting to your sensor. It has nothing to do with focus.

Q: 9. Will this 67 mm ND filter fit over an existing B&W 67mm ND filter already on my lens or do I need to remove the ND filter first?

A: If the existing filter has a 67mm front filter thread, you can attach one of these filters to it, although it's recommended to use as few filters at one time as possible.

Q: 10. Will this fit the Lee Foundation kit holder?

A: The Singh-Ray 100 x 150mm George Lepp 0.9 Neutral Density Filter will fit the Lee Foundation Kit filter holder.

[Aluminum] After using other brands and having varying success I decided to get the 'best'. I wish I bought this in the first place, I would have saved money in the end. I won't hesitate to buy anything from Singh-Ray in the future. It comes with a nice case and is completely neutral in colour as far as my eyes can see.

[0.115 lb] I have been using Singh Ray filters for many years and the quality is always far superior to any of the other filters I have tried. Some people have said this filters produces a magenta hue. I have not found that at all. The magenta hue comes frm=om the new chemicals used to dye the resin and can typically be seen on 5 stops or better. The previous chemical did not produce the hue, but were less environmentally friendly. Overall a tremendous filter! I own several of this type and simply stack them together in a P holder to get the desired density. These filters will not let you down

[Aluminum] Singh-Ray filters are absolutely the best filters that I've used.....quality through and through. I'd recommend them to anyone who was wanting to use Neutral Density filters. I use the Lee filter holder with a built in polarizer. You can then stack two filters on top of that. Never been disappointed. Works so much better than a circular Neutral Density filter.
