This paper is pre-treated for cyanotype printing, which allows you to simply arrange your objects or film on top of the paper, expose using sunlight, and process by rinsing in water. The cyanotype process is archival and the 100 lb hot press fiber-based paper is durable, making it well-suited for repeated rinsing if toning the prints to achieve a different color effect.

A: I would not recommend the three star matte paper for pictures but the five star works great.

A: You can store the paper for months, just seal it well and keep it in a cool dry place when not in use.

A: They do not print an expiration date on the box but they do estimate it should last about 2-3 year un-opened.

A: Yes

Q: 5. How long is this paper good for once opened?

A: Cyanotype Paper can last quite long time, many years as long as the area is free of chemical fumes in the environment. Fading Images can be restored to original just by re exposing to light. Wikipedia has quite a bit of information and references. A worth while read.

Q: 6. how can i develop a cyanotype into a collage?

A: Sunprints are easy to use. And basically you expose the paper with the objects on it and then wash the paper in water.There are many youtube videos on how to do that. I suggest going on line for some of those.

Q: 7. Does this scratch? Isn't silk or the kind of cloths you get from an Optometrist better? Are the cloths from an optometrist better or worse?

A: This lens tissue is similar to what you might get at the optometrist and it would not be abrasive in any way to a lens.

Q: 8. Are instructions included?

A: No, instructions are not included. I got instructions from my Photography professor.

Q: 9. we have purchased in the past Epson presentation paper SO41070 11 x 17 4.9 mill. I do not see this on your website anymore. Do you have it?

[100 lb] This paper was used to teach two groups of students how film and sensors work at fine arts camps this summer. Not only were the students amazed, we saw some creative cyanotype photograms. Ww also made a set of 12 limited edition sun prints from a 44 year old litho negative that was made from an image of the taken at the camp. The students came away with a greater appreciation of early photo pioneers like Thomas Wedgewood, photo chemical safety and and ease of use of digital cameras.. One caution, handle with care, use developing trays and make sure hands after washed after rinsing prints in water. 5

[100 lb] I use this paper to make wet cyanotypes, using plant materials, various spices, and a few odd household chemicals. The results are good. The paper is heavy enough to hold up to a little creative abuse. 5
