Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. When buying a copy machine, sales people will tell you roughly how many A4 copies each cartridge can produce, say from 800 to 1000 pages. I do not expect an accurate answer but would like to get a ballpark number about each Epson ink cartridge, or a set of 10 cartridges...otherwise how I make decision if I should per-order the upcoming 900? I am just talking about getting GENERAL ideas.

A: Copy Machines do mostly text & the amount of pages they tell you are based on 4% or 5% per page which is approx. 10-12 lines of regular size text. Once you have heavier print or graphics or if you print a solid black page it's like printing 25 pages. By printing photos on inkjet printers the case is much different pending on the quality & density of the print & amount of color. If the background is white or even light it uses less & there is no way to give an estimate. What you can do is compare the price of the size of the cartridge & see what will be cheaper per ml. Here for the Epson P900 you get 50ml for $42 & for the Epson P700 you get 25ml for $38. Bottom line is these are professional high quality printers & the outcome of the prints pay off by far.

Q: 2. What the expiration dates on them

A: Unless specified otherwise, all our inks are a minimum of 6 months from the expiration date.

Q: 3. Are these genuine Epson ink cartridges?

A: Yes. This kit has everything but the matte black cartridge.

Q: 4. Can these 50 ml cartridges fit on the new Epson SureColor S700?

A: These cartridges will not fit the Epson SureColor P700. The correct ink for the P700 is Epson 770.

Q: 5. does this ink expire?

A: Most ink packaging is dated, but a good rule of thumb that we propose is up to 2 years when stored in a cool, dry, and dark environment

Q: 6. Hello, I am researching your 9900 printer. I have a question regarding ink cartridges. We wanted to use the 9900 to output films for burning screens. Do you know if there is software that is compatible with the printer so we only have to buy black inks. Not sure if any of this information exists. I appreciate your help!Lindsay

A: Yes this printer can be used for this. Since it has multple gray cartridges, it will only use the black/gray and not use any colors. There is a mode for this in the printer software driver.

Q: 7. My P400 printer has both matte and photo black cartridges. Why is there not a cartridge kit offering both black cartridges?

A: We found the most customers only wanted 1 or the other but not both. You can buy the matte black as a separate item if you need both: https://bhpho.to/37jODMw

Q: 8. What is the approximate number of feet that this will print? (Assuming light imagery and mostly large text)

A: I have tried calculating this, but it is pretty impossible. Varies for every image, and I have noticed sometimes certain images drain an ink tank that you wouldn't necessarily guess from looking at the image. But, I can say this: I have had many Epsons over the years and they ALL lean on the light black, and / or light light black cartridges quite a bit. Sometimes i will but a complete set of inks, and it is always the light black or light light black that empty first. So stock up!

Q: 9. What is the difference between the Epson T324 ink cartridge and Epson cartridge for their R800/1800? It appears they both use the same ink (HG2) in identical capacity (14ml) cartridges, yet one costs more than the other. What gives?

A: The inks for the R800/1800 are 13ml and they are not described as HG2. The inks for the P400 are 14ml and UltraChrome HG2. The physical shape and size of the cartridge is different too so you cannot use the T324 ink in the R800 or R1800 printers.

Q: 10. Why no matter black (MK)?

A: We have two kits. For the Matte black option please see B&H # EPSCMBP400.
