Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How long can the ink sit on the shelf before installing? Shorter question can the ink go bad or dry up before going into the printer and how long before it does so?

A: Shelf life is approximately 2 years. But I have used ink that has been outdated 4-5 years without any drying issues or degradation of quality. Once the cartridge has been opened, you should have at least a year before any type of quality issues start to occur.

Q: 2. does this ink expire?

A: Most ink packaging is dated, but a good rule of thumb that we propose is up to 2 years when stored in a cool, dry, and dark environment

Q: 3. What is the difference between the T324 and T3248 ink? Are they both compatible for the SureColor P400?

A: T324 is the ink series for the Epson P400 Printer. The number after that which in this case it's "8" stands for the color usually Matte Black. i.e. T3241 is Photo Black, T3242 is Cyan, etc...

Q: 4. What the expiration dates on them

A: Unless specified otherwise, all our inks are a minimum of 6 months from the expiration date.

Q: 5. how often do I need to change the ink?

A: Every person usage of ink us different. Printing size, Black and White VS Color , type of media you are printing on. It is always recommended to have at least one extra on hand, just in case you need in middle of a print job

Q: 6. What is the BEST BY USE DATE on the cartridges???

A: Epson does not list an expiration date on the inks for the P700 printer.

Q: 7. What is the difference between the Epson T324 ink cartridge and Epson cartridge for their R800/1800? It appears they both use the same ink (HG2) in identical capacity (14ml) cartridges, yet one costs more than the other. What gives?

A: The inks for the R800/1800 are 13ml and they are not described as HG2. The inks for the P400 are 14ml and UltraChrome HG2. The physical shape and size of the cartridge is different too so you cannot use the T324 ink in the R800 or R1800 printers.

Q: 8. Can I use pro12 ink in an Epson 7900, and could I use 7900 ink in the 9750?

A: Regarding the Epson UltraChrome PRO12 Ink Cartridge Set (350mL) (B&H# EPUCP12C350K), I will assume that you are asking about ink compatibility between the Epson 7900 and the Epson 9570. While both take Pro12 ink, the cartridges themselves are difference. As such, the cartridges for the two printers are not cross-compatible.

Q: 9. How do I calculate ink cost per print -- using epson SP 4900?For instance how many ml of ink for a full color 8X10 print?

A: Epson printers come with a built in feature that allows you to figure out exactly what each print job costs. Through the Job History feature, you can see exactly how much ink was used on a print job. The Job History stores the last ten jobs printed by the printer.

Q: 10. About how many 4x6 photos can I print with 1 ink cartridge?

A: Well it depends on the color of the ink and the color of the picture. The 4900 uses color ink even to print B&W pictures . So it is a question that needs more information to answer.

[9.65 lb] I would only use original Epson ink. It's quality and consistency are essential to my printing.
