Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. About how many 4x6 photos can I print with 1 ink cartridge?

A: Well it depends on the color of the ink and the color of the picture. The 4900 uses color ink even to print B&W pictures . So it is a question that needs more information to answer.

Q: 2. Can I use pro12 ink in an Epson 7900, and could I use 7900 ink in the 9750?

A: Regarding the Epson UltraChrome PRO12 Ink Cartridge Set (350mL) (B&H# EPUCP12C350K), I will assume that you are asking about ink compatibility between the Epson 7900 and the Epson 9570. While both take Pro12 ink, the cartridges themselves are difference. As such, the cartridges for the two printers are not cross-compatible.

Q: 3. about how many 11X14 high quality prints will a set of inks make?

A: Unjfortunately Epson does not publish page yield on the R3880 printer. There are too many variables involved, including paper type, resolution and ink coverage.

Q: 4. What is the shelf life of an unopened container, or from the date of manufacture?

A: epson ink has a expiration date of 2 years after the manufacture date

Q: 5. What is the approximate number of feet that this will print? (Assuming light imagery and mostly large text)

A: I have tried calculating this, but it is pretty impossible. Varies for every image, and I have noticed sometimes certain images drain an ink tank that you wouldn't necessarily guess from looking at the image. But, I can say this: I have had many Epsons over the years and they ALL lean on the light black, and / or light light black cartridges quite a bit. Sometimes i will but a complete set of inks, and it is always the light black or light light black that empty first. So stock up!

Q: 6. What is the BEST BY USE DATE on the cartridges???

A: Epson does not list an expiration date on the inks for the P700 printer.

Q: 7. how many square footage of image can each ink cartridge cover?

A: There is no clear cut answer for this question, even Epson can't give you a definite answer. The reason is that it all depends on the density of the image & how much of each color is on the print. In general these 50ml inks are much larger & better cost per print compared to the cheaper smaller printers. Here is the thing, if your shots are great & you know how to utilize the printer the value of the prints will pay off by far.

Q: 8. Why no matter black (MK)?

A: We have two kits. For the Matte black option please see B&H # EPSCMBP400.

Q: 9. How many prints can this set have?

A: That depends on a number of variables, not the least of which is the size of prints being produced. Unless you're frequently doing very large prints, the shelf life of the cartridge will be exceeded before you run out of ink. I've been very impressed with the number of prints possible with a set of cartridges, although I did have to replace the black cartridge earlier.

Q: 10. What is the difference between the Epson T324 ink cartridge and Epson cartridge for their R800/1800? It appears they both use the same ink (HG2) in identical capacity (14ml) cartridges, yet one costs more than the other. What gives?

A: The inks for the R800/1800 are 13ml and they are not described as HG2. The inks for the P400 are 14ml and UltraChrome HG2. The physical shape and size of the cartridge is different too so you cannot use the T324 ink in the R800 or R1800 printers.

[14 x 8.6 x 5.5"] I would only use original Epson ink. It's quality and consistency are essential to my printing.
